Hi Golo, I like Ezydvd and there are three shops in WA if you don't like shopping online ( they don't specify Perth so I'm hoping they are in accessible suburbs) and they list three Cillian movies --> www.ezydvd.com.au/mech/search.zmlIf you have any JBHi Fi's over there they are brilliant for movies. Sunburn has not been released, it was only shown at a few film festivals it seems, so not many people have seen that one. Disco Pigs is *fantastic* and you even get to hear Cillian sing! Check out the DP thread in the Movies section here for more info (but mind the spoiler warnings, or maybe wait till you've seen it) Soundtrack is excellent too. On The Edge is not available locally but a wonderful movie that I tend to watch a bit - you'll need to get online for that one though --> SendIt are brilliant for vid & dvds. www.sendit.com/video/item/7000000069609Anyhow, hope that helps - cheers! ~Ultra

Ultra is right...Sunburn has not yet been released; however, I did manage to view it but that's a looooong and expensive story. Suffice it to say, it was worth the exorbitant amount of money I spent for the thing. This is not where I purchased it from, but you can try here. Hope this helps all of you. Good luck!

Just a very quick word of warning on the outside chance that someone reading here may not know: The Sunburn DVD that Jo linked is Region 4 (Mexico, South America, Central America, Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Caribbean). You need to have either a multi-region DVD player or else be certain that your player is Region 4 or the DVD will not play. Some DVD players/programs made for a computer can be changed from region to region, but not all. Alas, while that is available, I have searched endlessly for a Region 1 (US/Canada) version - or conversion - but have not yet found one.

Alas, while that is available, I have searched endlessly for a Region 1 (US/Canada) version - or conversion - but have not yet found one. It's possible to convert the VHS, but that gets complicated and expensive...hence my apprehension in divulging my resources. Let's just say, it cost me "an arm and a leg".

I have been looking for a DVD mostly but I have some VHS tapes that are conversions from Australia and the UK. There are companies that do conversions that are not very expensive. However, while they will convert 'home-taped' video, copyright laws often prevent the same being done for a professional video.
There was a small company in the UK that sold converted tapes (I bought 'Oklahoma' there several years ago). They maintained a list that was fairly extensive and included both movies and television, but they apparently are no longer in business -- at least I can't find them.
The conversions (video) are usually pretty good but not always perfect -- they can be a little 'wavery' in some cases. (Is that a word? LOL)

You must mean grainy. Good luck in finding it in dvd because it doesn't exist, I've looked and enquired. However, if you do find it, please let me know. I'd love a better copy of it too.

No, not grainy -- an ever so slight motion that is a bit like a wave. I wouldn't call it fluttering -- perhaps 'undulate' is a better word (a smooth wavelike motion.). Television reception can be worse so it's a very small complaint (especially if one is desperate . I have friends who have multi-region DVD players and are very happy with them. I have considered buying one now that the prices are more reasonable. I think you can get a decent one for around $150 (US) now.
