I remember the small controvecy about the Ruby role too! I still think it would have been better if the cast were really American. The spirit of patriotism would have touched American audiences hearts much better.

(There are diffrent circumstances for each side of the topic, but as soon as something becomes an argument it is pretty much null and void.) We should get back to talking about Cillian and his roles. we love him, he's a wonderful and talented actor. And yes, those eyes are to die for

Cold Countain (never saw the movie) had Cillian Murphy and Nicole Kidman in it when it's about the American Civil war. It should have been an all American cast to get the realism of the matter. Like if you're doing a movie about the American South (God Bless Dixie lol!), don't you think it would be better if true southerners were in the cast? Tom Cruise= The Last Samurai Now, with that in the picture, don't you think they could have made worse choices? (not that I disagree with the casting at all)

So only because it was American, and the cast wasn't you missed the patriotism? I don't see the problem actually, it happens pretty often. Besides, like I said I didn't felt ofended by GWAPE, or how about all those films in wich they say that Holland, or more about Amsterdam, how you can jsut buy drugs in special shops and get away with it, and stuff like that. That last would be more offending since it's not like that at all than a cast that isn't American.

I still say it would have been better if althe cast were true Americans. It would have added on the spirit of patriotism to the audience.

I sort of understand you wanted the mall to be american, but why do you make such a big deal out of it? I mean, the cast was great from what I ehard, even though they weren't american. Cillian was in it, huge plus. The actors did a great job from what I heard and I wondered if you would have noticed the difference also if you had no idea that the cast wasn't american. Just wondering.
