First off, what an amazing movie. Second off, what amazing acting by everyone. I loved it and thank god I get to see it again tomorrow. But, I just wanted to get an opinion of everyone. Earlier, I watched a video clip of Colby Donaldson and Cillian very briefly on the film. It's around 3 minutes or less. Colby said that Wes mentioned a sequel. But, then the video ended and it was kind of left at that. Wes MENTIONED a sequel. So, I've come to this... In the end of the movie, when Lisa's father shoots Jackson, the bullet hits Jackson's right side of his chest. Typically, when you see an ordinary gun fight between characters and one character is trying to kill the other, you'd aim for the heart, right? Which, as anybody knows is on the body's left side. But, in the movie, Lisa's father hits Jackson on the RIGHT side. If anything, Jackson would suffer from injuries to his right lung (of course in addition to everything else that happens throughout the movie). But, this wouldn't be enough to kill him or would it? So, do you think this was intended so Jackson WOULDN'T die and therefore still have the main character for a sequel? Because at the end, you don't see Jackson die. When he's left, he's still moving and his eyes are still open. For those of you that have seen Red Eye, leave your opinions.

[glow=red,2,300]I'd love it to be a sequal!!!!!! But lets just hope that it will be um..unlike most Wes Craven sequals, they were ok, just not as good as the original. But other than that, it would be awsome! ;D [/glow]

But, do you think the ending of Red Eye had anything to do with the idea of a sequel? Leaving the potential? Or it just ended the way it did for no reason?

I hope there isn't a sequel. I have to admit I only watched this movie b/c of my boy; otherwise, this should've been a USA movie or something on TNT. Good scenes, yes, but otherwise disappointingly predictable. I'll see it again later to make up for the incessant chatter and everything else from annoying teenagers (not meaning any offense to those great teens here). I'll get another chance to review it in better circumstances.
But, yeah, Shannon, I see where there would be room for a sequel. Though, Wes isn't great with sequels.

There's room for a sequel... I was trying to make up a sequel in my head, but we all know that usually the sequels are terrible... Although it is possible. You don't know that his lung got hit, and we don't know that he died. He just seems to be in agonizing pain... If they do make a sequel, I would just see it for Cillian, because it would probably be awful otherwise.

Good scenes, yes, but otherwise disappointingly predictable... Tanya, you took the words right out of my mouth. I'm still unsure how I feel about the movie itself. The acting was...I'll have to think about this as well. Cillian's American accent was superb, I'll be honest about that, and Miss McAdams is a beautiful actress. It did have a made-for-TV feel about it for some reason---not that, that's a bad thing, but perhaps the predictability and/or shortness of the film had a big impact on that (my) feeling.
And what the hell was that Colby guy doing in there? Sorry, but he cheapened it for me.

Yeah, I'll have to agree. I just read a critic review today who said it was like a cheap movie knockoff of the tv series '24'.

The good has to win, the people won't get blown up, the bad people get stopped miraculously. I still enjoyed it. But mainly cause Cillian was in it. I was listening to his accent.. It was great ;D And as for the colby thing... Nah won't go there.

I don't think there will a sequel either. Even though it didn't make it very clear that he was killed. It could go either way I guess.
I thought Cillian's accent was great except for the bathroom scene, where he totally lost it.

Yeah, blue, he was in for a like a minute and he acted in interviews as if he has such a pivotal role! What? You're leaving the island again, Colby!
He did okay with the accent, though I heard his real one throughout the movie. The bathroom scene, yeah, nublet he did lose it.

I read those and I thought "hmm, I wonder who he is?" I saw the Cynthia girl in one interview, she seemed pretty excited to be in it, I thought she must have like 2 lines and be out, but she was a bigger role, so I assumed Colby would be big as well. The lady flirting with Jackson had more time than he did, and I don't see her mentioned anywhere...

Hilarious yet true. And he even made it into the "Red Eye Hotties" thing. . Maybe if I win a rigged gameshow and become an extra in a movie I can get a whole bunch of interviews too!
