Well, finally had a chance to view the film...and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. The storyline was easy to follow, but rather unbelievable at times. I mean it had its good moments like the tender moments between Cillian and Paloma [Baeza], as well as the other lead actor, Barry Ward. I looooved Cillian dressed in a frock, blonde wig and F-me boots...yes, he was dressed in drag! That was a treat to see...oh, and his arse, again. His character was a jackass; albeit, he played it real well. (Made me want to smack him a few times.)
I always wondered what this scene was all about and it was cute...they were singing Violent Femmes' "Blister in the Sun". img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-12/549317/Sunburn.jpg
[/img] Overall, it was okay, not a disappointment, but it's not something I'd want to watch repeatedly like I did with DP, OTE, 28DL, and most recently, Intermission. In any case, it's nice to see all his other films. Jo

This movie sounds good. I really want to see it, but I am in the states, so I can not find it anywhere. Jo, How did you get ahold of it?

Okay, watched it again...wasn't his arse ! Saw an arse and I immediately ASSumed that it was his. LOL! It was cute too. Second time around, I had a better appreciation for the movie, guess I expected a bit more from my first viewing.
Erin, it was like finding a "pin under a haystack" for a copy of this film (and lots o' $$ to get it). And I certainly couldn't find it here in the States anywhere either. Email me...

ok i posted a thing on the other cillian murphy fan site and apparantly they get screened now? so anyway, cillian was good in sunburn, but the movie wasn't as good as i thought it was going to be. i have to say all of this other films are much better than this one. if i had to rate all of his movies that ive seen it would go:
on the edge disco pigs 28 days playboy of the western world (i know it's a play) ;D sunburn
did anyone notice that cillian was really really thin? i know he's kinda thin anyway, but this movie really enhanced that fact. i mean in person he's wiry...but in this movie it was like hmm do you eat? oh and the scenes with the little kid (his bro) are so cute lol....
can i have your adidas gavin? the predators?

I been watching Sunburn over and over, ever since school has let out, cause its summer time and there is nothing on tv anymore. Everything is in repeats. The more I watch it, the more I like this movie. I really like Cillian in the Nike Uniform. ;D Yeah I agree, the other movies he was in, they were well filmed, but this was a simple movie, fun movie. I like it because of that, especially now that summer is approaching, it is making me look more forward to summer. Erin
