Woah! Really? That's one of my favorites too! I can totally picture him wearing that tux and playing Death. He would have kicked a-s-s! Amen to that!!! If Cillian happened to be the Death I would die very happy. That's also what I thought when I saw him as Death Jr. in At Death's Door

Kamakawi'wiole or something, yeah! I love his music! Actually, that's the only one of his songs that I like. The rest are okay. Too bad he's dead. Uh oh...tornado warning...maybe I should get off the computer.
And that peanut butter scene was so funny! And then at the party at the end..."Do you have any peanut butter?"

blackmamba, there is no character darker than Death and there is no actor who can play dark as gracefully as our Cillian. Have you seen the movie?
tinydancer, the party in the end was heartbreaking... especially when he had to reveal to Susan who he actually is. Good grief, IF ONLY Cillian played that part. Brad is okay but he's not exactly my cup of joe (no pun intended). Dark, romantic, witty, philosophical and tragic. Darnit, Cillian shoulda had that!

Of course I have... and yeah loved it too, and yeah I could totally see Cillian playin death as I said. The closest he's been to it is in At Death's Door, though it turned out bein pretty funny. Here's the link btw www.atomfilms.com/film/at_deaths_door.jsp?t=mc#NONEI'd also replace Tom Cruise with Cillian in Interview with the Vampire. I would love to see Cillian as Lestat, what could be sexier than Cillian playin a vampire?

I wonder how he'd portray it.

This is a fun thread. My favorite film is hedwig and the Angry Inch. I never thought about anyone but John Cammeron Mitchell playing hedwig on the film. Even if many have played hedwig in the play version and I ave of course picture Cillian as tis caracter many times. Now that I think about it. Cillian would be amazing as hedwig. I know he would do her justice. Not to mention Cillians beautiful voice.

I could picture him as a perfect Alex in A Clockwork Orange (the role played by Malcom McDowell). I adore that movie and that character!

Ok... I love James McAvoy too but I can also picture Cillian playing his role as Tom Lefroy in Becoming Jane.

My favorite movie of all time is A World Apart...but there's no one in that movie I'd want him to play...unless he was African or a woman. The dad runs off and abandons his family when he's about to be thrown in prison for protesting against apartheid. If you're going to stand up for a whole race of people, at least have the stones to be thrown in prison for it. Don't abandon your family and the people you are trying to help by running off. Not that I'd have the guts to be thrown in prison.
They aren't my favorite movies of all time, but I can think of some other roles I'd rather Cillian have had:
Titanic-Tommy Ryan (y'know, the Irish immigrant Jack becomes friends with) Romeo+Juliet (1996 version)-Romeo (though I thought Leo did a good job)
Sorry if these have been posted already, by the way!

That's exactly what I thought. I love Ewan McGregor but... *cough* (I am determined to one day see Cillian/Jonny in a movie. That would make my life.) The Hedwig idea is interesting, though. I wonder if he could pull that off? I have trouble imagining anyone else playing Hedwig.

Cillian should definitely be Frederick Clegg (aka Ferdinand, aka Caliban) from 1965's The Collector! Okay, I haven't seen this movie before, so technically, it can't be my "all-time favorite movie", but I didn't know where else to put this post, so here it is. I have read the novel on which the movie is based on though. The novel's pretty good, and I liked it. I didn't even know that there was a movie adaptation until recently. I looked it up on imdb, and there were people on the board saying that Cillian and Rachel McAdams would be perfect in the lead roles if The Collector was ever remade. I totally agree! It would be like a Jackson x Lisa alternate universe or something (yeah, I'm a Jackson x Lisa shipper ). Miranda has the same fiery, stubborn attitude as Lisa, and Frederick's creepy, but there's also other complex aspects about him (he cares for Miranda, doesn't want to hurt her, etc). Cillian would be perfect! He's great at bringing different layers to a character. I know that young Terence Stamp looks scarily similar to Daniel Craig, but I think Daniel's a bit too old to play the role. I also think that Ed Norton and Naomi Watts would be pretty awesome in the lead roles, too, but yeah, they're a bit too old, too. If they ever wanted to remake the movie with older actors, yeah, Ed and Naomi would be perfect! Oh, here's the link to the trailer: youtube.com/watch?v=JZHA-Wn5LfsYeah, it seems incredibly cheesy, I know, but that's why it's due for a remake! A fresh one with Cillian and Rachel.
