However, I like the other characters. I think there's a nice balance between all the storylines & characters & such. And, OMG ya know how my DVD player won't play TWWLN, yeah, well now it won't play "Howls Moving Castle" either!!! And it, like TWWLN is BRAND NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, it still plays all my other DVD's.

OMG! Just watched it again(downstairs) 2 episodes last night, the other 2 first thing this morning! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His BEST ROLE BY FAR!! Him as Paul Montague, he's....a dream, there's no other way to put it. He's stunning!! And, I just love it in general, it's an amazing, spectacular film(mini series), whatever you want to call it. Cillian....blows me away in it, Matthew Macfadyens performance right behind his. The two of them......*drool*......................I mean, it...it's like Pirates of the Caribbean, putting Johnny & Orlando together, except...well, Cillian & Matthew aren't, better I'd say, but equally as lovely & talented to put on the screen together! Need to know anything bout the film in particular I'd be happy to fill you in!! OMG I love it!!!!!!!

I do ADORE it & it IS worth buying. The movie takes place in 1870 I believe is the exact date, if not it's somewhere in that time period. Cillian plays Paul Montague, a young engineer who falls in love & yes is a main character & is in the film a good chunk of the time. More then I expected actually when I ordered it, he's in every episode & there are 4 total & it is 6 hours long all together. If you have any more questions let me know. I'll give you the summary off the back of the box, seriously I have it right infront of me so here you go:
The Way We Live Now is a remarkably contemporary story that captures the power, passion & corruption at the dawn of the capitalist age.
"Period drama as it should be"-Time Out
Based on the novel by Anthony Tollope, this satire if Victorian Society contains all the dynamic elements that made him one of the most celebrated & popular novelist of his day-The trials & tribulations of young love, the pettiness of upper class life, the raw energy & excitement of the most powerful city the world had ever seen, & the greed & corruption that lay just below its glittering surface.
