A little information:
Composers to Collaborate for Caped Crusader

Composers James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer are in talks to collaborate on the score for "Batman Begins," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"It's unusual for two such high-profile composers to join efforts," says Jeff Bond, editor for Film Score Monthly. "I can't think of another movie that has two composers of that stature writing together. But [Howard and Zimmer] have been looking for something to do together for some time."
The proposed collaboration is "very likely to happen," says a spokesperson for Howard, with scoring planned for April or May.

That's pretty good news, thanks Bobby. I like Hans Zimmer a lot, he did the soundtrack for Gladiator, the recent Thunderbirds remake, King Arthur .. loads of stuff.

Not always my favourite movies, but I very much like hs sensitivity to film atmosphere and his ability not to crash in with clunky cliches ~ doesn't always use violins in sad moments, you know, he avoids the obvious pitfalls which really take me out of 'the moment' in some films.

Howard .. name is vaguely familiar, but nothing springs to mind. ?

In any case, we're assured of something appropriately dark, subtle and creepy. ;D

Finally, writer David Goyer spoke to Dreamwatch magazine (as noted by Superhero Hype) and considers the film an original take on the property. "There are definitely segments of our film that have never been addressed, even in the comic books, so we are sort of in uncharted territory," said Goyer. "I felt very strongly that we should use characters that hadn't been depicted in the films before. I think Ra's Al Ghul is unique as a Batman villain because of his goals. Although his goals are somewhat perverted, he is more realistic as a character than some of the other villains. And using the Scarecrow gave us the opportunity to depict a villain that was truly scary and frightening. If Bruce Wayne was going to wear a suit, what would he need to do in it and what would his suit require? Our general rule was that it had to feature either existing technology that was going to be thrown into the market place in the next 10 years or so. Without giving too much away, the film lends itself to a sequel."

Does anybody even know where Cillian is lately? I told my brother (he sometimes attends industry things) to look out for him in L.A. just in case.

While I was in Ireland in the fall I met a couple people who knew him in a professional capacity. They both had very nice things to say.
