Did anyone else just love it when he was being sarcastic in this film? He's so great at it, and it's not just the voice, I mean his facial expressions in particular. For example the scene that starts when his character is talking to the doctor about the girl playing piano, and how she doesn't get any better, and he keeps making fun of the doctor and the doctor asks him to sign that "contract" about not harming himself, that whole scene, he is just brilliant. I saw it with the sound off at first because someone called me right when that scene came on and I muted it, so I watched just Cillian's expressions, and the way his moves his eyes and mouth, he really acts with his face. Then I watched it again with the sound on. The man is an amazing actor.
I urge you to watch that scene with the sound off and watch his face, and not just because it's gorgeous ;D, but really look at what he does. It sets him apart from other actors. A lot of people can deliver a great line but don't have the physical skills to back it up. This guy does it all.
And I also have to admit, I think he looks delicious when he's angry or sarcastic....

That also would be a good practice for me because that Irish accent and deep voice distracts me big time. Yes, sarcastic Cillian is wonderful. Weren't you impressed in the bowling scene when that guy was ready to start of fight?

Weren't you impressed in the bowling scene when that guy was ready to start of fight? Yeah and I also loved that move he did in the bar when the guy tried to punch him and he held the mug up so the guy punched the glass mug. OUCH! I also loved how sweet and funny he was though when he asks the girl who keeps slapping him how her hand is and when she asks why he says "Well, it was just that it kept hittin' off of my face."

My friend Karah knows how much I love Cillian, so we started watching On The Edge together and she thought he was brilliant, especially in the part where the doctor wants him to do the pledge, and he goes, "I think it's a f**king ridiculous idea," and then when the doctor asks him to think about it he goes, "Okay, I've thought about it, and it's a medical breakthrough. Well done, doc." It was hilarious, not to mention totally adorable ;D
