Always figured his appearance would be very short but didn't want to burst any bubbles. He was only in LA for a few days for the shoot, so there was no way he was it it for more than a minute or two. Glad everyone's enjoying it! Zombie and Razz, my husband always snickers at the way Batman talks. He tries not to (I think), but can't help laughing because it's so dramatic and over the top. But at least the explanation makes sense. The voice change was satirized on South Park; when Kenny was playing the superhero Mysterion, he put on a gruff, gravelly voice. It was cute.

Yeah, Pisces, I don't know why I acted so surprised as I knew he wouldn't have a lot of time on screen. Looking on the bright side, at least he was included in the final film! Batman's voice has always made me laugh, but it wouldn't be the same if it sounded any different.

Bunnie, I agree. When I saw his cameo, that was the first thing I thought. He is INSANE. My dad was impressed at Mr Murphy's acting in it, even though it was only around 30 seconds.

I hope I can persuade my friends to see this with me... even if it may only be 30 minutes and my money is low... it's worth it!
But I am so saddened to hear what happened in Denver, how awful of that man!

Just saw the movie. Epic is the word. Mr Murphy is awesome, even if he's only in it for a few seconds. All of my friends suddenly cheered when he appeared. I think I might have infected them with my Cillianmurphyphilia. ;D

You're completely right, Cillian was amazing even though he had such little time on the screen. He makes the absolute most out of every role given to him, no matter how small. I was initially against him only appearing for a few seconds, but I can say now that I'm so happy that they included him in the final film!

That is indeed a moving letter. It must have been quite a journey for Christopher and all of the cast and crew. Thanks for sharing, Leyla.

I may not get to see it in the cinema, but you know what makes me happy? I was talking about it with my friend yesterday who had seen it... and she told me that in the end of the movie she nearly stood up and said my name when she was shocked she saw Cillian, she's so sweet!

It will be released in Italy next week (!!!), but we had a preview on Tuesday and I grabbed good tickets to one of the only 2 Italian Imax screens. I absolutely loved the movie. I've been a big fan of Nolan since Memento, so of course I love his style. The movie got mixed reviews, but I really loved it, I even cried... As for Cillian, when he appeared on screen the people beside me aaaawed, it was funny. He was pretty hilarious and veddy veddy handsome, that's not bad I saw it dubbed in Italian (I had no choisce) and the dubbing was awful. Bane was dubbed by an Italian actor, not a professional dubber, and he sounded soooo bad, he had a weird accent, half Central Italian regional, half Croatian, don't ask me why. People on FB are wishing the real Bane would smack this smug bloke...he's quite boorish in interviews and he's not as good as he thinks he is. Anyway, I have a question: since they butchered a lot of voices, did Cillian use a shrill voice? Because in Italian he sounded rather shrill.

LMAO Leyla ;D I am imagining these voices to be pretty comical! I'm just glad you can get the DVD's in the original language... it's just that many people aren't blessed with multi-lingual talent like you dear, I know you studied to the top with it all. I haven't seen the film yet so I don't know about Cillian's shrill... heehee! ;D

Ha, I suspected it. But I think he was lucky. Poor Tom Hardy got a real stinker...
