I've been a fan of Nolan since Memento, so I would have seen his Batman movies, of course. Cillian in Batman Begins was what drove me nuts, Nolan really knows how to choose his cast. Don't forget Cillian was in the group of actors who auditioned for the role of Batman and Chris Nolan liked him so much he gave him another role (in fact, I cannot picture Cillian as Batman very much...though I'm pretty sure he would have been up to the task). I think he is in TDKR, probably a cameo. He's very shy about it because everything is hush hush and he cannot speak, but there are reports of him on set. They even described the scene....so I'd be quite disappointed if he was not in it!

The scene that was described by someone was a dream sequence with Gordon, this doesn't look like it. I don't think they would put it in the trailer. Yet I'm pretty sure he's in the film, if for a cameo.

Pretty sure he is as well but these cameos are completely doing my head in. Either put him in it or not, Nolan. Don't tease us with pointless cameos that only make us wish there was more.

Chris, you really liked Cillian when he auditioned for Batman. You gave him two supporting roles and two cameos. Time to give him a leading role, isn't it? Don't tell anyone, but *shhhhht* I think he's much better than Leo. ;D

He's better than anybody.
And I agree; having Cillian in a cameo role EVER is the biggest waste of talent and the worst tease possible in any movie. That sort of thing needs to stop. LOL. It's like walking in a room full of people who are starving with a pizza box in your hands, letting the aroma waft over everyone, lifting the lid and allowing a nice lingering look at the delicious pie, then closing the box and leaving the room. WTF??

Inception was good, though. I thought his character was the emotional core of the film, even if I spent all the time whispering "the jerks are going to get this poor boy killed....". I trust Nolan. I think the cameos are a nice way to tell us he really enjoyed working with Cillian and he doesn't want to let him go.

Well if he doesn't want to let him go and acknowledges he's the best actor of his generation (he does acknowledge that) why is he wasting him with tiny little bit parts? Surely a better way of acknowledging how much he loves to work with him is to give him something special to work ON?

I agree *nudges to Nolan* ;D Unfortunately studios might think people like Leo are more marketable. This is very wrong, you can see it with your own eyes when you put a brilliant - if somewhat unknown - actor in a well written blockbuster (X-Men First Class anyone?). Everyone goes "gee, this one can act". Really? They should trust directors a bit more. Nolan after TDKR will be even more powerful, hope he manages to get rid of studio constrictions.

Marketable doesn't always matter, nor should it when it comes to correct casting. I know that it does but it shouldn't and it completely gets on my nerves that it does.
