Almost my entire family lives in Louisiana They all live in the surrounding area of new orleans and except some live by the mississippi border in slidell (which is worse..the eastern side of the hurricane is always the worst part.) Luckily one of my uncles lives in baton rouge so everyone went there because it's higher ground.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought it was saying "Hurricane, kay?". Haha, weird. But yeah, my family's definately praying for everyone suffering down there. It's so sad.

I don't do prayers, but that doesn't mean I don't care, I do and I hope everyone is fine.

One of my uncles had the same problem...the traffic was so bad that they just turned around and stayed at home. (him and my aunt live in lacombe, though.) apparently slidell was the worst hit, too.

Luckily one of my uncles lives in baton rouge so everyone went there because it's higher ground. Same here. Most of my relatives on my dad's side live between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Thankfully they were all okay. Pensacola, FL got off pretty lucky this time. There was a lot of rain and no power for a while but we got off here with a only a few missing shingles and a few leaks. Geez, but to my west it is really sad. It was odd listening to the radio and hearing about all of the devistation just two hours east. Really sad. It is kind of odd when you really think about it. I was hanging out with some of my cousins in New Orleans just a couple of days ago and you just remember random folks you pass byon the street. You get a really odd feeling when you think about the fact that they most likely do not have much left. Yeah, I am gonna stop writting now because I could go on about that wierd "what if it was 50 miles east" feeling for a long time. Hey, but that is life. Sometimes it'll kick ya in the balls but I guess ya just gotta wear a better cup next time.
