Since I’m the one that started this whole thing, I might as well be the first one to introduce myself.
Hi, my name is Jo, and I'm a Cillian-aholic! Actually, I'm just one of his many growing fervent fans. I live and work in the Bay Area, which is in northern California. Believe it or not, I have a very busy work schedule but I'll make the time for Cillian. Of course, I say this now but soon, he will become this huge mega-star and I probably won't be able to keep up with him.
Cillian, to me, epitomizes what a brilliant actor should be. Call me closed-minded, but I find his talent far beyond any other actors out there today. Granted, I still have my favourites such as: Ewan McGregor, Johnny Depp, Clive Owen, but something about Cillian is really refreshing and original. I think it was after watching him portray Pig in Disco Pigs that I first took notice of his gift of acting. Since then, I’ve watched him outwardly progress into much more grittier roles. I’ve never seen him on stage before, but I look forward to finally seeing him perform when I make my journey to Ireland this April to see Playboy of the Western World.
I anticipate better roles and films for Cillian after his part in his largest-to-date big-budget, upcoming film, Batman: Intimidation. So for now, I’d love to just savor in his newness and the wondrous novelty that is Cillian Murphy.

ooohhhhh!! I admire Ewan McGregor as well... actually he was my first love after Jake Gyllenhaal and before Cillian Murphy. Wow! that's really cool...
I admire Cillian's talent as well... i don't know what it is though... but when I look at him i think... wow... and i dont know what it is!!! it's like Chris Martin from Coldplay... wherenever I see him i think that he's like.. he makes me love him... but hes not... lets just say.. hes not exactly one of America's top 10 hottest stars... but something about him is attractive.. much like Cillian. Cillian is an awesome person and I'm glad that more audiences are growing closer to him and creating websites and such for him. Each day that I search for his name on the internet, it seems that I find out more about him and I'm very happy for him...

hey, it's bliss from tek's forum....it's wicked funny how we just migrate and spread. i just admire cillian's acting. i would love to be able to have that range of emotion and be able to express that on film. it really isn't about his looks at all. it makes it easier on the eyes, but i'd like the elephant man if he could act like cillian. he's so refreshing. it just seems that a lot of actors and actresses are cookie cutter. give me people and movies who break the mold.

steps gingerly onto red carpet... Jo luv, it's Tasha from the CMIE forum. Well, darlin' you're off to a good start, the site looks great! and I must say - Ewan, Johnny, Clive - my list of boy-wonders is exactly identical! (and dammit, I want back the portion of my brain that you stole, please, because if it turns out that we have any more in common, we may just find out that we were surgically separated at birth! good grief and re: the WELCOME message - it's always a comfort to know I’m not the only one with O.C.D! I think your shrink and my shrink should get together and go bowling or something... ahem, moving right along...I totally agree with the anti-gossip rule - classy and respectful, as always...(and we'll just make a point of never mentioning that ring, ever again! hehe) alrighty then - to the strangers on this forum, I s'pose I should introduce myself properly - I've chatted with Jo a bit on CMIE (another forum for The Murph) and like her I also reside in the San Francisco area, where I spend far too much time obsessing over movies (in my defense, I'm an aspiring filmmaker, so perhaps the obsession will pay off someday) I first caught site of Cillian in a BBC drama ( Way We Live Now) but admit that I didn't fancy his posh English accent (ha, I had no clue!) - it was later on that I saw him in a film called On The Edge (the native accent was much sexier!) and I was instantly charmed by his humour and intelligence. He seemd to have this brilliant combination of grace and swagger, and a kind of punk-rock energy that you just don't find in today's Hollywood boy-bimbos. By the time that 28 Days Later came out, I was fully impressed with the guy (and okay, a wee bit infatuated!) - of course, I could go on to say that he's better looking than 10 movie stars, with eyelashes that could sweep a studio floor...but that's just the surface appeal. I mean, the boy's got raw talent, and at the end of the day, that's really what it all comes down to. He's got soul, integrity, and an intelligent sex-appeal... that's a very rare combination! I'd place him alongside my other two favourites - Ewan McGregor & Johnny Depp - as someone unique and exciting, who's willing to take risks, and seems to approach his work with passion and a true spirit of adventure. okay, that's enough drooling for now... (and Jo, my compliments on your new site! Cheers, -Tasha

Hi Everyone, I'm mizmode or Tara. I found out about the forum through CMIE. Just wanted to say hi before I started posting. What can I say about Cillian that hasn't been said already. Nothing really because it's all been said. And it's all good. There's just something about him that has made me an fan. Besides his good looks, he's an natural performer with so much talent you just can't help being an fan. I have my other fave male actors (Keanu Reeves, Giovanni Ribisi, Samuel Jackson - I want CM to work w/ Sam so badly-, Jeff Goldblum, Omar Epps, etc.) that will never change. Sometimes an few others will come along and interest me but have never stayed with me enough to have them on my list of favorites. Cillian is one of them that has come along and I know I will never lose interest. I know never say never, but w/ Cillian he is just so brillant. Not only his looks and acting I love. I love his personality too. Although he is an private person he seems like someone you can laugh with and have in your corner when you need him to be.

Wow Jo! This forum looks amazing! Wonderful job!
For those who don't know me, I'm Tekknofury, manager over at Cillian Murphy's Irish Eyes. Like most of us, I've became infected with the Irish lad after seeing him in "28 Days Later". Natural I began surfing the 'net looking for anything on him, and kept coming across nada! The decision to create an MSN group was obvious. Talk about obessing, spending the entire day web searching and collecting anything on Mr. Murphy. It was after joining a Cillian based Yahoo group that I decided to open the doors to CMIE. And wow!
On a more personal basis, I'm living here in Queens, New York, born in Killeen, Texas. I work for an advertising agency in Manhattan for 3 years (might as well be in dog years). This Aquarian chica also writes poetry, short stories, takes photography, other yummies include Gerard Butler, Viggo Mortensen, Keanu Reeves, Callum Blue, oh that list will go on!
Keep up the fab work Jo!

hello, hello, hello... ;D
I like to introduce myself as well. I'm glad that I found more people who really sees his talent as an actor. without him "28 Days Later" wouldn't have the success the movie actually had. But I'm sure I don't have to tell you how talented he is so back to myself. Lynnie brought me over here, and I have to admit that the both of us are completely out of order when he shares a snatch with us. this eye-color is so unbelievable. I'm a student, my dad is a born canadian and probably we're moving this summer from germany to vancouver. but, we'll see. hope to have fun...
see ya

Hi, I'm Carla, 24, psychiatric rehab coach, from Cardiff, Wales (NOT ENGLAND!) I saw him first in 28 Days Days later, and fell in love (I started getting those fluttery feelings in my tummy like when I first met my b/f!). Call me a sucker, but a dark, pale skinny guy running around looking all battered and f**ed up gets me going every time! I've seen as many of his films as I can get hold of, but the ones I can't find are sunburn, quando, how harry became a tree and saltw*ter. My search continues! Nice to meet you all! Carla
