That was insane^ what CB did in the Machinist. Not to mention he went right away and gained it all back for Batman. Not very healthy. Even he admits that. Either way CB is an amazing actor. I was truly disturbed by his character. I didn't realize Cillian lost weight to play Kitten. He always looks about the same to me. How much did he lose for the part?

Uff ... I read it anywhere but I don´t know where it was ... so I don´t know how much! To me it seams like hes was thinner as else in Breakfast to Pluto ... maybe the clothes lets appaer it like this!! Or the airy voice! The weight of CB in the machinist is really irresponsible, I can´t actual understand how can he do this ... the role must be very important to him!!

Yeah, I honestly have no idea how Christian Bale did it, but all I can say is that my admiration for him tripled after I saw how brilliant he was in The Machinist. It was very risky though, and I was so relieved to see him in Batman. Healthy, to me, is sexy. Not to mention the fact that he was very nicely toned, hahah.. I was originally worried for Cillian, but I doubt he'd do anything dangerous. Like all you gals said, he's probably naturally thin, and he has a small girth in general. I understand why he'd be pressured to lose a bit of wait for BoP, he was wearing skin-tight clothing and high heels, after all.

On the DVD for Red Eye with the director talking they said Cill had lost alot of weight for Pluto and that really worried me he'd do that at all for any movie. Up till I heard that I thought it was just the illusion of Kittens' tight clothes. His beautiful face always seems the same to me. And for the life of me I just can't figure where he lost all this weight from if he lost any at all...

Hmmm, so in my opinion ... for sure there are differences in his weight, and I think it´s visible ... for example between Red Eye and Sunshine ... but there isn´t any weight wich is critical low ... and there aren´t such a big differences between weights that it would be unhealthy ... everyone looses and gains weight by time ... it´s pretty normal! And whatever, Cillian is looking great at any time, regardless of his weight!

Hmmm, I wouldn't be too surprised if he lost weight for BoP. Kitten was supposed to be only 18/19 and an ideal feminine build is one that is thin. Plus an actor who loses/gains weight for a role is seen to be very dedicated to his/her art, and quite often, they earn good reviews for that.
But these days, I think Cillian's perfectly healthy. Just because he doesn't have a massive, muscular type of build (thank God for that) doesn't mean he's unhealthy. I'm sure his vegetarian lifestyle keeps his weight in check. Also, I noticed his shirt pulled pretty tightly during the bathroom scene in Red Eye and he seemed pretty buff in the Sunshine promo shots.
BTW, is Cillian a strict vegan, or just doesn't eat meat but eats milk and/or eggs?

I've read that he's not a vegetarian because of animal rights, just because he doesn't think meat is healthy... So he probably doesn't qualify as a vegan. He might eat milk and/or eggs, I think

I can see that he may have lost a little for Kitten just to give her a more feminine build. I honestly never noticed though. He seems healthy. I have seen Capa and he is fine. In all sense of the word.lol. Miho, I read the same about his thoughts on not eating meat. I believe he said "there is so much sh*t in it now". Something along those lines.

This is a very important fact!!! He doesn´t eat meat of couse his health!! Then why he should risk his health with a weight wich will not be healthy!! Would´nt make sense! Really he´s thin .... but not to skinny I think! My opinion, he´s quite simple a thin type! (ok, I`m repeating, myself now *g*) And I wish I could be this type by nature!!!

Miho, I read the same about his thoughts on not eating meat. I believe he said "there is so much sh*t in it now". Something along those lines. Yes, that's what he said. Got me thinkin, so I tried to be vegetarian for a couple of weeks. It went ok... yet it was soo hard, since most food here got chicken or meat, or pork, or my favorite: seafood. I don't think I could manage a strict vegetarian diet for more than two weeks, but I felt better avoidin red meat

Hmm ... a couple of years ago I´d try for a few weeks... because of both reasons ... the poor animals, and the sh*t wich is in the meat ... For a while it works fine ... but at least I end up eating meat again! I´m sadly not diciplined enought to manage a vegetarian diet ... But I´ll try to avoid red meat too ... thinking there´s the most sh*t in this kind of meat .... and also there is the suspicion in medical science, that it´s one of the reasons for intestinal cancer ... Uhm ... Ok, I´m a smoker anyway ... but there haven´t to be two risk factors!!!

Ok, I´m a smoker anyway ... but there haven´t to be two risk factors!!! ;D Ok, that last bit had me cracking up.lol. Your right no need for two risk factors. Actually I was thinking about trying it out myself. I don't really eat that much meat in the first place. Miho, I don't think I could give up the seafood either. From what I hear seafood is the least tampered with. Maybe I heard wrong. Anyone know for sure? I was thinking if I must eat meat once and a while maybe organically raised meat. Once in a while cause it is so expensive. I find it intresting that so many of you have tried it. I plan on it. Maybe we should all try it for a week and write back about it.lol. We can start a new thread called "eating like Cillian" lol My next post would be along the lines of (gorging on a triple meat pizza).lol
