I had a moment once with a musician...in an elevator. I must admit for a moment there I thought things were going to get very interesting. Alas, no such luck.

Now, I know how celebrities feel when their words are taken out of context.
If I had a "moment" with anyone, especially Cillian, I certainly wouldn't be airing it on here. Hell, I'd be all over the tabloids. ;D

I don't know about a shopping bag -- maybe an enormous smile instead. Wait, that's what I would have. It's surprisingly easy to change the meaning without actually changing the words, isn't it?

Okay, I'm gonna be brave and voice my very unpopular opinion...because someone has to say it. Deep breath, hope no one thinks I'm insensitive, here goes:
When you are an actor, you thrive off the attentions of your audience. Actors who prefer to perform on stage (such as Cillian) do so because of the feeling they get from the audience's reactions. This is a very public career that they themselves choose. They are not forced to work in a field where their entire career depends on the opinion of viewers (that's why I have a desk job!). It is a well-known fact that celebrities are photographed whenever then venture out of their homes. This is not a secret that actors learn only once they themselves reach a level of fame. I agree that the paparazzi goes way too far much of the time, but actors know the negative aspects of the job before they became stars. I enjoy my job, but, before I took the job, I was already aware of the low points I would have to deal with: irate customers, cubicle environments, etc. I can't expect to have a job with absolutely no bad points! And yes, I know that actors are not working 24/7, but when your job depends on your popularity, you cannot expect the masses to just pretend you don't exist when you walk off a film set. I'm not saying that celebs should just suck it up and let the press run all over them and that they should spend every waking minute signing autographs, but I do hope that they sometimes stop to think about why they are famous and who chose this line of work for them. Celebrities should make firm (but courteous) assertions about how they wish to spend their personal time out of the limelight, but they should also expect to be photographed on occasion. I mean honestly, how often is Cillian photographed in public? Anyway, there is my opinion. Feel free to tear me up.
To show that I am not just talking out of my arse, my husband and I work for a university and we are constantly recognized around town by the college kids. (We are even given great service in restaurants occasionally because students remember our efforts to assist them!) We are really nobodies in the scheme of things, but people remember our faces and stop to update us on their college careers. We are asked for advice and assistance, even when we are just trying to have a romantic night out alone. I am honestly beyond flattered when this happens and we will spend as much time as necessary helping the student. We are not highly paid nor are we salaried. But we know that what we do is important to these students. I'm not trying to sound like a martyr or a snob, I'm just explaining my real-life experiences as they relate to this thread.
Always the troublemaker, Angela

Not such an unpopular opinion! I said earlier that being photographed (or approached) shouldn't be a big surprise for an actor in a public place. There are ways to handle it gracefully. Ultra hit it exactly -- Cillian created the Showbiz story (or at least a bigger story) by trying to hide.
eeep! I'm "fervent." How could that possibly happen? ;D

Bobbymcg:
Hi, Puggems here! I've not been around for awhile...
So, when I popped back in here and saw this link you posted, I have to tell you THANK YOU! I know you were iffy about it, but I must admit, I've been absolutely DYING of curiousity to see a pic of Yvonne, since I've never seen her before!!! If that is wrong, then so be it. I have no further desire to satisfy my curiousity at her expense, but he is a celeb, and she is going to be photographed right along with him!

You're welcome Puggems!
I wonder how long he has owned the 'Where's Cillian' hat and shirt? 10 years? 15? ;D He still manages to look cuter than most of the world's male beings, though.
