Yeahh... I think artistic talent is hereditary, in a stretched way. My mom's a verryyy good realistic artist. Photograph-like. I'm pretty artistic (Without sounding too full of myself there.), but I'm more into comics and the like. I can do those, but tell me to draw something I see and it comes out comical, not realistic.. I should probably practice more.

I'm horrible at doing comics, but I'm trying to teach myself. I really love comic books and it kills me to struggle when I try my own. Do you have any comics scanned so I can see?

Thanks. My favorite is the one at the top of her door of the girl armed with the giant pencil. It is her self portrait. Ok, off to bed for this mom. School bell rings early. Have a great night. Hope to talk again some day.

Good! Well...study first, and then use art to relax I used to use acrylics...and I started oils about a year ago...and they are SO much easier. You can blend so much better with the oils...if you ever get the chance to learn, DO IT! ps I added another drawing I just finished (I have nooooo psych classes this semester so I have much more time to do stupid drawings) I love it! i Love! I love it! You hate it compared to how much I love it( hehe sowwie...was watching Madagascar the other day!) I really like the eyes, very natural

noses are hard... but its always the lips that i mess up on...
hereditary art skills... skipped a generation in my family... haha. both my dad's parents were artists, his mom studied with diego rivera, and went to study in france and parsons... so thats awesome... everyone says i take after her, so its all good ;D haha
celticgirl... i love your paintings... haha, i was really confused at first bc of the flash... and then i got that it was flash, and its really beautiful...
oh, i love sculpture too... what kind are you doing? thats what i did over the summer... my art doesnt really relate to this board in anyway, haha... actually i have to do an art project on breakfast on pluto (the book) and i am really thinking of lying and using one of my sculptures from the summer (teehee)... oh, but im so excited, im going to belize, and lots of time to relax and draw there ;D and iwant to work in oils really badly... i just dont paint... bc im not a fan of acrylics... over the summer i started experimenting with latex paint, which is really interesting, but you know, not for painting painting...
