Hi Amy! I'm a HUGE David Bowie fan, so the best concert I've ever been to was "Bowie At The Beeb" - I'd flown over to London to go see him at Glastonbury 2000, because I was sick to death of never getting a chance to see him live (I'm in Australia). Anyway, while there, my train to Glastonbury was late, so I went to the nearest net cafe to check the Bowienet news... managed to luck my way into a small surprise show at the BBC that only around 150 members of the fanclub got into!!!!
It was the absolute best ever concert, for me. He played Wild Is the Wind and Station To Station (fave tracks from my fave album), a couple of unexpected old songs from the sixties, and they printed the audience's names in the CD booklet of the concert when it was released. How cool is that?!!
Cheers ~ Ultra

That is pretty cool! The best concert I went to was Green Day in April - amazing live show; fire effects, excellent light show, and they were just great performers. Halfway through the show the lead singer Billie Joe said that he needed a guitarist, bass player and a drummer from the crowd to play one of their songs. He picked out people from the mosh pit after interrogating them like this: "Do you play guitar/bass/drums? How long have you been playing? Do you swear to God you play? All right, come on up!" And he got three people, and after telling them what to play, they actually played a full song! It was really cool I'm a bass player, and if I'd been down in the mosh I would have loved to have gone up there. But sadly, I was too far away

Dir en Grey, japanese hard rock. ;D They've been to my town, but I didn't manage to catch them here. So what did I do? Fly over to the other end of Germany, crash with a friend of mine for two days and attend that amazing concert. For me it was the best concert, because even though most of the people looked like they just jumped out of one of the worst Marilyn Manson vidoes were really nice. It sounds strange, but there, with all those incredibly kind strangers and freaks, I felt quite at home. [Sounds like I'm some crazy punk/goth kid, but I ain't, don't worry. ]

I've seen quite a few bands. But my faves would have to be Evanescence, and The-All American Rejects. I didn't see a lot of AAR, but from what I saw, they were great. But I saw all of Evanescence, and they were great in concert. They have great charisma and energy.

Lets see.....I love all of the concerts I've been too. Which is a lot. Its really hard to pick I've been too (in order)
Incubus, Phantom Planet 311, Alien Ant Farm A Perfect Circle, Year of the Rabbit Lollapalooza 03 (Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age, Audioslave, Janes Addiction) Incubus, Sparta Incubus Alliance of Defiance tour (Otep, Candiria, Bloodsimple, Nobis and American head Charge) Mindless Self Indulgence, Program the Dead, The Horror
I plan on going to NIN in October or November.. But yeah.....all of those were good, really hard to pick.

Oh you lucky person, I would love to see Tool I suppose APC is good enough until the next CD and tour comes out (which is soon I think) Maynard has such a sexy voice for somone....not so sexy, don't you agree? Have you heard him on the Underworld soundtrack? from the band Puscifer (sp?) those lyrics with that voice... Great song.

i love maynard. i've seen Tool twice, once for Edgefest a few years ago, and once not too long after that for the Lateralus tour. not my fave album by them, but still brilliant musicians. i did see APC for the Mer De Noms tour, they are also good live. maynard's flawless, actually. i've seen a lot of awesome acts this year. the ones i'm still buzzing about are probably... NIN, at a smaller concert hall where i managed to descend into the pit and get closer to Trent than i ever dared dream!! Skinny Puppy..same place, actually, and they recorded the show which they just released onto a dvd last month. i do hope i'm not on it...i probably looked silly. Tori Amos, a couple years ago for Scarlet's Walk, a great album. Razed in Black, twice in a week, and i love the mastermind behind the music. a blend of goth/industrial/rock. and a sweet guy. i love live music!

Every concert I've been to has been the best, all for different reasons.
Tool - I've seen them twice, and the first time was actually my first concert. A Perfect Circle - Because I really love them and how completely different from tool they are. Ani DiFranco - because it was such a moving experience and there was just no judging of other people going on in the crowd.. Like everyone was just okay with each other. Garbage - Because they're my favourite band and it was a dream come true see them live. My Chemical Romance/Green Day - I really like mcr so it was an extra treat to see them, and green day puts on a really good live show.

Minui, I could interview you all day about your Dir en grey concert experience. ;D Man, I'm so jealous.
The best concert I went to... well... Ionno. The funnest was one by a local band called Amanna 18. I can't stand their music (pop-punk trash), but the guys themselves are very cool. Got to hang out in the band-van with two of the guys (vocalist and bass player) preconcert, as they (underage) drank, smoked and did a rather funny impression of Hawthorne Heights.
During the concert I practically got thrown into the guitarist. Haha... that poor guy was getting bombarded with bodies that day (it was on a floor, not a stage). His mic was knocked out.
Afterwards, we went out back and chatted with the guitarist, who I apologized to (and who said "there's no need to apologize, I always get hit with EVERYTHING"), and bass player, who told us he'd get us a call if he could hook us up with an afterparty. My friend Sam and I talked about deep stuff with the guitarist and some guy from some other local band.
It was a fun night. Too bad the music wasn't too great. *sigh*

The best concert I've been to was Hoobastank at the Hard Rock Live last year. They were freakin' awesome! My brother and I were in the absolute front and Doug grabbed my hand (I'm such a teenybopper). We have the best souvenir too since it was taped for MTV. Oh, and my brother came away with one of Chris' drumsticks that's all beaten and splintered.
