Every board I frequent has one of these threads and a 6 degrees thread. Didn't see a music one on here, so I thought I would start a thread (hope nobody minds...)

Hello Cleome, and welcome! So, what am I listening to right now? .....The sound of cars going by on a wet road . I would quite like to listen to;The Beegee's 'How deep is your love', I heard it yesterday morning on the radio. Although it reeks of cheese , the song carries a certain charm that pleases my ears. Towards the bottom of the non-cillian topic, we've posted a 'general music of interest ' thread , have a gander!

MUSE!!! Saw them live last night and they are BRILLIANT!! Unbeleivably great show, they totally went off - unfortunately so did a few morons in the audience, but we survived (why do people at rock shows HAVE to push & crowd surf?) so I'm now a bit sore & deaf but very happy LOL. They are such fantastic, talented musos, the sound was great, the crowd was into it..... I want to go again tonight!

Thanks Gracey, will go & find some Mortal Coil then. I just got home with John Cale's Hobosapiens & Bjork's Medulla which I'm playing now - OMG she is amazing. All vocals, bit of programming - could have been a total of a result, but she has pulled it off, it's fascinating. Think it will be in the player for a good while. Sorry John, I'll get to you in a bit! Lovely to be spoilt for choice. There is a fair whack of good music around lately, especially live shows, for which I'm very grateful. There's always that nasty lull after the overindulgence of summer that leaves me feeling a bit flat (I do lots of festivals and this year had loads of Bowie concerts to keep me hyper). It's picking up nicely now, seeing Tim Freedman from The Whitlams solo on Thursday, and a local guy Darren Hanlon in a couple of weeks. Where Is The Line (track 3) - BLIMEY ~Ultra

Yes, you and anyone else who appreciates Liz Frazer(From the Cocteau Twins). This Mortal Coil was as side project from the 4AD label and featured their artists collaborating together to make an album of pure delight!!! ;D

I've been listening to a lot of showtunes and oldies. I also bought Jane Monheit's cd, Taking A Chance On Love. She's a jazz singer and she puts a jazz spin on several standards from the MGM musicals from back in the day. I love it. I love just about all kinds of music but jazz is one I never really got into until I saw a commercial for Jane's cd, and I had to get it. And I'm glad I did.

You guys should try Frou Frou, their awesome, they sing the theme song for "Gardenstate" the one you always here in the commercials, its called "Let Go". Also try "Breathe in", "Shh", "Flicks" and "Hear me out"...this last one has the background music that 28DL has in the part where they have reached that clearing where the horses are...sigh...everything connects to Cill
