Well, late last night I was listening to AND watching The Thrills on Leno. Quite by accident I turned it on just as he introduced them. I checked the late night schedule and Friday they will be on Craig Kilburn if anyone is interested (w/o CK -- I don't know the host for this week).

I love Frou Frou's 'It's Good To Be In Love'. I had it on repeat all summer long last year.

Lately I've been listening to lots of Snow Patrol, Paddy Casey, Damien Rice, The Thrills.
The song "Chocolate" is killing me. Ahh.

My postie was good to me today - three Kila cds!!!!! They are BRILLIANT - Irish sort of traditional~ish, but they seriously rock. You can't help but dance to them, and they are all such great musicians - lots of instrument swapping, and two singers, so loads of variety in the sound too. Lemonade & Buns Tog 'E Go Bog 'E Live In DublinPlaying the live album first - it's taking the roof off, and this is only on my rubbish PC speakers. I love these people - first saw them at Womadelaide, went to all three spots & am hanging out to see them whenever they tour close enough to me again. Have a read / listen /look ~ www.kila.ie/default.aspCheers! ~ Ultra

Loads of U2 this week, and just got a new Bowie bootleg of the recent tour (shiny gorgeous packaging, I'm such a sucker LOL) so I'm reliving February sitting here grooving in my office chair.
From Station to StatioooOOOOOOOOON!!!!
Also, on a sadder note, my other half lost his brother earlier in the year and today we finally had a look at the boxes of cd's he inherited ... his brother had fantastic taste in music! Many discs I have already, and lots I've meant to look up but never have. Off to stick loads of Midnight Oil, Roxy, Deborah Conway and maybe a little Yes on my ipod shortly.
Cheers! ~Ultra

-- "Hair" ...from 1969 -- the new Green Day album ...hey, they're from my hey-day, even though back then there was much debate over them being truly punk. (Which I think is stupid. Like, if you're a sellout for getting to do what you love for a living and making great money while you're at it, then so what, "sell out!" Which brings me to another topic: If a bunch of people are nonconformists, then aren't they, as a whole, conformists?! I mean, if someone laughs at another for not having the name brand boots -- um, Doc Martins-- then isn't that the same as a prep laughing at another for having a fake polo shirt on?!) Now days, you are nonconforming if you don't have tats or piercings, huh. Sorry, grouchy mood today. -- Morshiba (spelling?) ...kinda jazzy... Oh, gracey, I was listening to Dropkick Murphys a while back. Heh, heh, Murphy. ahhhhh.
