my ex b/f called me lesbian cause cillian....he said cillian looks like a woman and then if i like him ,probably its cause i like girls... Short-answer: I think he's just jealous that he doesn't look as good as Cillian does. ;D Long-ass answer: It's pretty funny. I'm currently writing this fanfic (no, not with Cillian, lol) and it deals with homosexual issues. My original character is bisexual and has very feminine features (plush red lips, long lashes, high cheek bones, the works). In the beginning of my story, there are a lot of *very* heterosexual guys making fun of him. And yet, deep down, they're actually aroused by him. However, because these guys are fearful of any homosexual feelings they may have for this guy, they mask their admiration with hate and prejudice. (LOL, I bet Sigmund Freud would say a lot about my fanfic) Anyway, I think it's the same with Cillian. Cillian is HOT. He's handsome as a man but also possesses a few feminine type of features. I'm pretty sure he makes a *lotta* guys out there insecure with themselves. Cillian doesn't look like a macho man (ex: Schwarznegger). Even former "pretty boy" Patrick Swayze looks very manly compared to Cillian. Cillian, on the other hand, possesses a very homoerotic aura. I felt it when I was watching a certain scene in 28 Days Later (between the major and Cillian)and it's funny that when I recently heard the Commentaries, Boyle, confirmed my thoughts on this scene. I know, this sounds hilarious, but any Freudian fan out there could probably back this statement. I'm not into Freud at all, but have to give him credit in some cases. Part of the prejudice against Lesbians and Gays, after all, is all about an interior struggle (aka., oedipus complex). It's why you'll see Senators denounce homosexuality one moment, but later get caught with their pants down in a male restroom inside an airport. The fact your ex tells you that he thinks Cillian looks like a woman probably says a lot about *him* than Cillian.

Sounds like your ex doesn't like you very much. I wouldn't say Cillian looks like a woman but I do think he is very pretty and not overly masculine like some guys are or try to be. But just because he's not like buff or anything I still wouldn't call him a woman. Pretty much what I think too.

I must be in the minority because I just don't see anything feminine about the man. LOL. When I look at Cillian I see very exaggerated masculine features- he has positively enormous browbones, very strong bones in his face, and a chiselled jawline that any man would be envious of. Not to mention his deep voice and rather brutal looking, working man's hands- which I completely drool over. He's not the largest guy out there, that's true, but he has an aura that makes him bigger than life, and that commands attention in its own way.
I actually don't even understand why people equate full lips with femininity. I think this comes from seeing too much Vogue magazine or something. Because, and not wanting to offend anyone here, but there are a lot of ethnic groups that have full lips, but no one points at the males and says they look like females because of this. Cillian, to me, is a gorgeous man who happens to have fuller lips than the average person, but that alone does not make him look feminine to me. I think people are unaccustomed to the idea of male beauty- and there is indeed such a phenomenon. LOL.

I don't necessarily think he looks like a woman, but Cillian does have a very androgynous look to him. I think he sticks more to a "Bishonen" (beautiful male) aesthetic of handsomeness.

I agree, Kizuna. Cillian definitely has the androgynous look, and so do some other actors (Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jude Law, etc). He has feminine and masculine qualities. He's definitely not "girly" though, and he's definitely more masculine. I think some people say he looks more feminine because he doesn't look like the archetypal male (tall, big, buff, etc.). He's definitely all male to me... gotta love his voice and hands, right, Pisces?
