Well my sister and most of my friends all think i'm really weird for finding him attractive. They just find him weird and creepy or too girly. I can inderstand why people might find his eyes a bit eerie but i think they're ethereally beautiful, as i'm sure you all agree! I suppose that his features- such as his amazingly defined cheekbones and beautiful eyes with long lashes- are more feminine than some men and it all depends on what you find attractive in a man. I happen to like skinny, scrawny guys who are a bit scruffy. Long hair also appeals to me and the feminine thing definitely doesn't bother me. I just love him! Some women just like more manly men with muscles and close cut hair and the traditional strong jawline etc. It's all down to personal taste.

Cillian's quite androgynous looking for sure, and yeah, many people think Cillian's weird, creepy, whatever. I think creepy is what most people call him because they've only seen him in Red Eye and Batman Begins. All of us know better than that, and I don't care what they say. I don't jump on the bandwagon and like what 'everybody else likes.' And I agree with Kim; it's all about what's your personal taste.

Typical muscle men with generic good looks bore me. Sure I like some stronger type men but I just tend to go for guys with average to skinny builds with something unique about them. In can be beautiful eyes, a great smile, goofy fun personality but so many men out there that most women thing are hot are just EH to me. I like scruffy guys a lot too Raz. They are sex-say. Jeez, I sounded like I was filling out some online dating questionnaire. lol I also like long walks on the beach and dinner by candle light.

I definitely agree, Cillian does not fit into the mold of "macho muscle man" and frankly, I'm glad. He fits into more of a class of androgynous looks, or as the Japanese would call it, the bishounen class. I agree - I can't stand giant muscle men or alpha-males. But I wouldn't go so far as to say he looks like a woman. Just pretty.

Yeah he's just extremely unique and beautiful. I can't understand people who find the likes of Brad Pitt/David Beckham/George Clooney better looking than the likes of Cillian/Ben Whishaw/Michael Pitt/ Gael Garcia Bernal etc. I just like people who are a bit different looking and have something that makes them stand out- like Cillian's eyes and cheekbones, Ben's eyes and his soft, quiet expression, Michael lips and eyes and Gael's bone structure. Yeah the main things that attract me to men are: Slim/scrawny build(not always though), unusual eyes/blue eyes, nice smile, shy/awkwardness, long hair, scruffy clothing or someone with quirky eccentric style. And of course they have to have good taste in music, books and movies and a sense of humour. Oh and your comment on the online questionnaire made me laugh! ;D

I agree with you guys Larvalee and razz. My boyfriend Tim (the one from my sig ;D) has a slim build and he has a little scruffy beard, nice cheek bones not really square or anything and pretty hazel eyes. He says he gets alot of his features from his mom. He's shy but he's really funny and cute. Just basically what you guys describe. I guess those kinds of guys are just my type!

He does look androgynous but I don't find most of "masculine/muscle/macho/Schwarzeneggerish etc. " men attractive. I think Cillian alikes are much more pretty and elegant.

I totally agree with that comment. I think it's true that Cillian does have a somewhat feminine look about him - but not to the extent he actually looks like a woman. And I wouldn't want it any other way! When it comes to guys, I've never found that macho muscly look very physically appealing either - though know some women are really into that. Give me the choice between someone like a young Arnold Schwarzenegger and Cillian - for me it's no contest. It would be Cillian hands down. ;D

He definitely has the feminine look going on but that is what makes him so attractive for me ;D ! Esp. when I see pics like these: my first thought often is: 'Jeeeez, even without make up and a wig he looks prettier than a lot of woman'

I think attractive features are attractive features and shouldn't be classified as masculine or feminine. And let's face it the man has the most attractive features out there!

Sorry if my comment offended you at all Larva! Wasn't meaning any of what I said in a negative or offensive way towards Cillian in the least. Going by my own observations I have to say that I do think the term 'androgynous' is a pretty accurate description of how he looks. I also think that if it weren't for that, that it's pretty doubtful he would have been picked for playing the parts he did in Breakfast on Pluto and Peac*ck. Sure he's a very versatile and talented actor. But there are alot of other actors out there who also are - so I don't think that was purely the reason why he was cast for those specific parts. People judge actors every bit as much on their appearance, as well as their acting abilities, when it comes to casting them for specific characters. In any case though, that's my personal opinion. And I'm not pushing it onto anyone here, if that's something they choose not to agree with. I hope that's not how it came across to you! That's just how I see things.

Although I didn't think hey: he looks like a girl, thats why I like him....um no. He is just perfect. First time I saw him in Batman and thought....these eyes..are they for real??? ;D Um yeah and then I saw Red Eye...need I say more? Well I know people who say he looks like a f*g.........well of course they are jealous. Oh btw I'm new here.

^Same for me !! All my friends find him weird because he looks like a girl ( they also say "this man had plastic surgery" xS) But actually boys who looks like girls are cute, because they're fine-featured.

i think one reason why some people think he is feminine looking is because he has a vulnerable look about him. The great thing about Cillian's face is that he can look super masculine, or androgenously pretty depending on what kind of look he's using. When he gazes into the lense, there's a genuine softness there, but when he scowls its pure unadulterated masculinity. In both cases theres a ton of depth, and thats total sex appeal. As far as him being creepy, he's certainly very striking, almost unnerving sometimes. lots of men I know have commented on it as well. But he can use his intensity to portray a creepy character brilliantly. In short, he's totally versatile, and the fact that people have a strong opinion about his face beit positive or negative means that he's totally unforgettable. I went on a site for 'beautiful men' but was quite disgusted to find it was all pictures of gay porn stars and musclebound jocks posing in thongs!! that does nothing for me. So I posted a pic of Cillian on that site to enlighten them as to what true beauty is!!
