I think you hit the proverbial nail on the head there Crane.  And i agree it's good that people have a strong opinion about him, either way, because it means he will stick in their head. They won't forget his face. Have a CB for a very good explanation.  |

they also say "this man had plastic surgery Well I seriously doubt that!  I guess it's always possible. But Cillian's never struck me as being the kind of person who'd go to such extreme's. And to me, it certainly doesn't look like it! Also seconding what Kim said there Crane. I think you make alot of valid points there! |

well, if I get a CB just for saying how lovely he is I guess i'd better stick around! thank you I find him fascinating, and people's reactions to his face intrigue me. And AS IF he's had plastic surgery!! he's naturally perfect. and anyway, people who have plastic surgery never end up looking like him because they go for generic, bland looks. apart from that guy who looks like a cat, but thats just plain weird!!  |

I don't think he looks like a woman...and I'm sure he hasn't had plastic surgery, because I've seen photos of his sister and they look almost exactly the same.. so it's possible only if they both have the same plastic surgeon which sounds ridiculous |

Yes sara I agree. When people I know say Cillian had work done on his face I have to find pics of his sister to prove my point. That would be strange if they did have the same surgeon, and to have that surgeon make them look almost identical.

Definitely not like a woman. I mean, his distinguishing features (large, pale blue eyes, long eyeslashes, sharp high cheekbones, full lips, slim build) are very feminine on their own, but when combines with his very large hands and VERY strong jawline, he doesn't look feminine, or even androgynous to me (except for Kitten!). He looks very, very masculine.
Lots of male celebrities that actually LOOK like women (Ryan Ross, Gerard Way, Mikey Way, etc.) don't have that strong jawline, which is a very masculine thing to have.
As for people finding him creepy, I think it's his eyes. Large, pale eyes, especially when combined with dark hair, look very striking. Some people find it beautiful/alluring/hypnotic (ME!), others find it creepy, as if they're staring "into your soul", some have told me, and it puts them on edge. I think that's just a matter of personal preference.
I've never seen pics of his sister; anyone have one?

We try not to post pictures of Cillian's family, including his wife or children. He's a private person and we try and respect that. They photos are probably floating around somewhere on the net, you could just google it and see- she may have been at a premiere or something with him. I agree with you, his jaw makes him masculine. I never found him particularly feminine either but i can see why other people would say that, based on his lips, eyes and cheebones. |

Oh, thanks. That makes sense; he's so private (which is awesome, in this Hollywood age. I like that he goes completely the other direction).
And seriously? He's got one of the strongest jawlines I've seen. It neutralizes the femininity of his other features.

I think he had fillers and Botox in his whole face in the first season because he was supposed to be younger than the rest of the series. He definitely looks different more masculine in season two. And Grace has a new nose profile by the time she appears while they have a rendezvous. When Charlie Chaplin appears. He r nose is markedly different. His lips are not nearly as full and his cheekbones are not as pronounced. He’s “older” now

Not completely. Maybe a bit Androgenous. I think men should embrace some of their wrinkles. On men laughlines and mouth creases are more sexy. Men don't look older they look more distinguished. The rougher the face the more rugged and manly they look in my opinion. I mean he looks good but perhaps he should allow more natural aging to happen. He does look like he's had work done. Full lips can be a bit feminine if taken too far.
