Disco Pigs 6/10 Hurray! I have finally seen this. And it was okay... but... I hated the ending mostly because I thought it was stupid that he had to die... (yeah spoilers are already all over here so whatever) It was not the fact that he had to die that ruined it for me, doesn't she have to go to jail after killing him. Wouldn't it be better if he had just killed himself instead of her doing it. I just thought the ending wasn't that clever.

Yeah that whole thing that she can just get on with her life as if nothing happened annoyed me too but i still adore that film and Cillian's performance in it and i'd give it 8/10.

burn after reading 8/10 I'm a huge fan of the Coen Brothers...I was a little worried about this one, because of the mixed reviews, but I loved it. It was really funny, but it had the tone of a good crime thriller. The characters were great. John Malkovich and George Clooney were really good, and Brad Pitt was funny as well, but was almost to the point of going overboard. Great script, intricate storyline.

I am Legend 5/10 I loved the beginning of the movie, but I did not like the ending. I thought Will was great, but the monsters weren't scary at all... just computer animated stuff. So... naaah..

It was really funny, but it had the tone of a good crime thriller. The characters were great. John Malkovich and George Clooney were really good, and Brad Pitt was funny as well, but was almost to the point of going overboard. Great script, intricate storyline. I'm so excited for this movie! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see it opening weekend last week. I'm really glad that you liked it, Haley! I thought the trailer was absolutely genius and hilarious! I think the cast looks absolutely excellent, and I especially liked John Malkovich and Frances McDormand from the trailer. I hope to see it this weekend. Philadelphia 8/10 Wow, such a heartbreaking film. I definitely got teary at some moments. I'm not really a big fan of Tom Hanks or anything, but he was wonderful in the role as AIDS-stricken gay lawyer, Andy. His Oscar was well-deserved. Snow Angels 8.5/10 I was really excited to watch this film. I was really intrigued by the storyline and the trailer. Unfortunately, it was in really limited release, so by the time I'd heard about it, it wasn't in theaters anymore. I'm so glad I got to watch it finally. The film was beautifully made, and the cast was excellent. Terrific acting from everyone -- especially Sam Rockwell and Kate Beckinsale. The story was quite depressing, but I loved the juxtaposition between the deteriorating adult relationships and the uplifting first love between the younger characters, Arthur and Lila. Their relationship was so sweet and happy that it made me think that Glenn's and Annie's relationship was once like theirs.

Pride and prejudice 10/10 (for the millionth time.) I want my own mr. Darcy. I am a hopeless romantic. Which Pride and Prejudice did you watch? The 1995 version with Colin Firth or the 2005 version with Keira Knightley? I haven't seen the 1995 one, but I absolutely loved the 2005 one! Wow, it was beautiful to watch, and the chemistry between Keira and Matthew Macfadyen was perfect! Apparently, there's a lot of drama between the 1995 and 2005 ones. Some fans love one and hate the other.

It was the 2005 one I watched. But truth is I love the 95 one as well. At least I did when it first came out... now I like the 05 one better.

Southland Tales 8/10 From the director of Donnie Darko. No where near as phenomenal or ground breaking as DD but comparing the two films is also like comparing apples and oranges. Southland Tales was surprisingly funny, well acted, interesting, crazy, confusing, unique and just all around damned fun to watch. Verrrrrry strange cast of typically B-actors, an almost embarrassing list, the likes of Sarah Michelle Gellar, The Rock, Justin Timberlake, Cheri Oteri and so forth, but it all worked extraordinarily well and was sooo funny. The movie was just good, worth a watch. I was pleasantly surprised. As far as what actually happened in the film, well I really couldn't say for sure. Night Watch 8/10 From the director of Wanted, this was very strange but pretty good. A very interesting and different take on vampire films. There is a sequel, Day Watch that I am looking forward to seeing. Unique use of special effects and story telling. Really fun to watch and very different. Burn After Reading 7.5-8/10 I am a huge Coen Bros fan but this film just sorta missed the mark for me. George Clooney is, as always in Coen Bros films, PERFECT, hilarious, well acted, genius, brilliant, etc. He was awesome in this film. John Malkovich was hysterical but super under used. Tilda Swinton was REALLY UNDER USED and bland, she could have played a much better character, it's not her fault so much as the character just was a boring one. Francis McDormand was good but she bothered me in the film and Brad Pitt was super funny too. It was definitely a good film over all, I laughed, I enjoyed it, but it is sort of forgettable in a way most Coen Bros films aren't. I'd take Barton Fink, Miller's Crossing or Fargo, even Intolerable Cruelty, any day over BAR. Rukia, I am sorry, but I cannot bring myself to finish watching Enduring Love. For starters my boyfriend is just really not into watching it. It was such a good book and the movie just is not standing up to the quality of the novel. Nothing seems to be happening in the film at all. I was maybe half way through it before I gave up on it but I am not even sure I got to the half way point. I already sent it back to the library, maybe I'll finish it another time. Right now it just isn't right though. edit: I forgot, I also saw a few weeks ago ... In Bruges 9/10, this movie was just awesome, I loved everything about it. It was such a great dark, dramatic comedy. I really loved it! Miller's Crossing 8/10 Another Coen Bros film. Well made, well acted, as is typical of the Coen Bros it was a very interesting story, funny and impressive. I really enjoyed it. Just an all around good, solid film.

The Lookout-8.5/10. Starring Joseph Gordon Levitt, Jeff Daniels and Matthew Goode
I'm a big fan of Joseph's work. I think he's a one of the best, most powerful actors around and he prooved me right again in this movie. His performance was perfect playing Chris Pratt who was a star hockey player and really bright student until he was involved in a car accident that leaves him with moderate brain damage and two of his friends dead. If you met him in the street you wouldn't know there was anything wrong with him, it's things like forgetting everything, slight temper problems and a shake in his left hand. Now he works nights as a janitor in a bank and his family treat him like a kid who can't handle anything. Then he meets a guy planning to rob the bank he works in and gets roped into helping them.
The acting throughout the film is brilliant, with Jeff Daniels doing a great job playing Chris's blind room mate and Matthew Gode as the sleazy robber. I really liked the story and there was a good twist.
