Seconding what other said in here on Kirsten Dunst and Elaine Cassidy. I've not seen either of them in much, but think they're both good actresses going by the little I have seen them in. And also same goes for Brad Dourif. I never used to rate him all that highly till I watched him in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest for the first time. I now think he's very under rated, and actually think some of the roles he's done since haven't done his talents justice, including when he played Chucky the Childs Play movies - much as I've always liked them!

Oh and the man on your sig ...Michael Pitt, another beautiful sexy man You should check out Cherrybomb or Misfits. He's crazy and a brilliant actor. I find him mesmerizing when he acts. And in interviews he's always just so mad- he's completely at ease with who he is and seems to have no self consciousness at all. I love that about him. Oh and thanks, i love Michael too, as a musician and an actor. Here's a sample of Rob in an interview, and yes he's always this weird. And him with another of the cast members of Misfits-one of the best tv shows ever btw! (Oh and Iwan doesn't only speak Welsh! I love him too. ;D): And in case anyone's interested in checking it out, the whole Cherrybomb movie is up on Youtube. I highly recommend it. It's a really great indie film with great performances- Rupert and Robert do great with the Belfast accent.

Thanks razz! I started watching cherrybomb and so far i like it. Hopefully I'll be able to watch the rest tonight. You are right, Robert does seem to be at ease with who he is. I thought it was so cute at the end of the 1st interview you posted how he steps back and starts looking around with this wide goofy grin. Most people practically run away after interviews, hahaha

Glad you liked it. Isn't Robert great?! I really like how it ends. What he says about Rupert and then it just cuts to the close up of Rupert looking all serious and defensive and you're left wondering. When you said all this talk about Cherrybomb, i thought you were gonna say it had put you in the mood to listen to The Runaways! I CANNOT wait for series two of Misfits to start. It's one of the best shows ever. I love Robert's character in it, some people find him annoying but that's how he's meant to be and i think he's hilarious! ;D

That movie is so sadistic and yet brilliant. The look Michael gives at the end actually gave me shivers. Even though it's so uncomfortable and hard to watch that's the whole point and i think it's a good one to make! (Funny Games) I don't understand these people who make movies like Saw and all those other torture horror movies. Surely that's not normal, and the people who go to see them, enough of them that we now have, what?, 5 Saw movies?!? It's a bit weird and i honestly don't see how it's normal.

yeah, I remembering watching Funny Games and going '...why am I still watching this?"...I mean, there were AMAZING actors (Tim Roth, Naomi Watts)...and I just couldn't believe what I was watching...
and yes, Michael's glare at the end was spooky. along with his 'audience interaction'...it made me say 'stop talking to me..." out loud...THAT was creppy!

I use to watch horror movies back in the day(around 12yrs old) nonstop, but as i got older i just wasnt into that kind of stuff anymore. I dont know why that is. The Saw movie (only watched the 1st one) was awful. Another movie that creeped me out for months after I watched it was the "Cube" Movies like "The Cell" and "Untraceable" are about as far as I can go with gore, and those are not even horror movies.

This actor isn't exactly obscure, but he's probably not that well-known either: Giovanni RibisiI first saw him in the movie "subUrbia," then in "Friends" as Frank, Jr. I thought he was so funny as Phoebe's younger brother in love with his much older teacher. I loved his performance in "Boiler Room." He usually plays creepy guys in movies, but I love him. He's a good actor. He also has great chemistry with Cate Blanchett ("The Gift" and "Heaven"), although someone said they look more like mother and son. LOL! I don't agree, though...I think they look good together. razzthekid: I agree with Disarm79. Robert Sheehan looks sexy...there's something about his eyes, his eyebrows, his smile that seems to just draw you in. I saw his pictures on Livejournal and I thought his eyes were mesmerizing. Thanks for posting those videos, by the way. I'm probably going to watch one of his movies one of these days.

Giovanni is brilliant. I love him too. He's definitely underrated. And i'm glad you like Robert too, hope you enjoy his movies. Seen as he's currently in my avatar i think Mr. Sam Rockwell should get a look in here. He's just amazing in everything i've seen him in. As much as The Green Mile is a brilliant film, Sam is always the thing that i remember most from that film. He was just stunning as Wild Billy. His entrance is one of the best ever- maybe after the Joker in The Dark Knight- and he steals every scene he's in thereafter. That was the first time i saw him in a movie and i loved him straight away. Since then i've seen him in The Assassination of Jesse James, Lawn Dogs, Moon and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. And i just bought Matchstick Men and Snow Angels last week and i can't wait to watch them. ;D He is stunning in every role he plays. Lawn Dogs in particular is such an understated, muted performance but just as affecting and real as all his others. He is one of the most underrated actors around. He deserves many many awards. And as for Moon, well he carries the whole film while playing two different people....kind of....it's just an incredible performance. Anyone who can pull off something like that... i bow at their feet! Ok, sorry for the very long rambling post, but he really does deserve to be huge!

Well, ironically, I would say my favorite obscure actor is Cillian! For me to pick another would be difficult, since all of my favorite actors have typically been lesser-known character actors. I've always enjoyed actors in the vein of Steve Buscemi, Ted Levine, Michael Wincott (though he's dropped off the face of the planet lately)... I guess what I mean is that I've never been the type to go for the big stars like Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt. Johnny Depp is the closest I can approach to enjoying a popular star, but that's because I liked him well before he became the mega-star he is now. There's something about extreme star hype that repels me from certain actors and actresses; I'm guessing it's just my contrary nature. I do enjoy Giovanni Ribisi - first thing I saw him in was an episode of The X-Files a long time ago, and he stood out to me even then. Underrated, and underutilized. Anyway, I suppose I will have to stand by my original thought - that Cillian is my favorite obscure actor. Because he is my favorite actor period, and to the average person in America, he is still "Sillian who...?" I'd say that qualifies.

Nice Thread! And I just discovered it by the right time. ;D 'Cause yesterday I watched a movie called "The Rite" and there was this young actor who is not really well known yet. AND: He's very attractive! (Well, he's Irish, what else XD ) He's now my favorite obscure actor! Colin O' Donoghue(What is so attractive about priests??? ;D Does anybody knows?)
