I couldn't confirm this anywhere online -- where'd you hear this? (BTW, why the *? The word "peac*ck" isn't a naughty word, even if it might make some folks giggle.)

Ditto. I tried to look up on this, too, on TIFF's main site, and nothing's listed yet. I haven't found any other online source either other than someone posting on Peac*ck's IMDB boards saying that's it's posted on Ellen Page's fansite. I would love for it to be at TIFF. It's been a while since Cillian's been at TIFF. TIFF doesn't really post up much until it's almost time for the actual festival, I think. Hope it's true!

I found it on the Ellen Page site and I hope this information is true. I just don't understand how an actor as gifted as Cillian doesn't get the recognition his films deserve while second and third rate actors and films are distributed throughout the world. This is disgraceful. I'm really concerned that if he doesn't have a "hit" movie, his name will be forgotten. You don't have to look far, this forum should be bursting with activity and it's dying a slow and painful death.

I agree. It's rather stunning to me that someone with so much talent is on the verge of being an official 'might-have-been'. I'm concerned all the more for him now that it seems that his role in Inception is not a large one. While I am excited that he's in another Chris Nolan movie, I don't want his part to be so small that viewers see him and say 'hey, there's that guy from Batman Begins again' and then whoops - he's gone. He needs something with a lot of face time. He needs a leading role. God knows he's leading man material.
I'm beginning to think that we should have thread about Cillian's star fading - it might at least generate some discussion, though it's a sad topic.
To stay on topic here, though, I did see this announcement about Peac0ck being shown at the Toronto Film Festival as well... though I cannot remember where. I must have been busy that day or I would have posted it on the forum.

I've been debating whether or not to say some things which might upset some people but I need to and please forgive me if I offend anyone. I shudder to think of Cillian as a might have been but I feel that he is in part to blame for his situation. After Redeye he should have gotten some scripts and that was his chance to make a name for himself. Instead he chose to make small but artful movies. If you want to stay in the public's eye you need to be seen. You don't need to tell the public how you forget to put down the toliet seat but we need to see you in public with your family, yes your family. And you need to make live TV appearances. And it would help if you'd smile and uncross your arms. We are all aware that you hate premiers but it goes with the territory. If you're not on the public's lips then your forgotten but I don't want to see you drunk at 3o'clock in the morning with Sienna. What was THAT about? There is an expression that where's there's smoke there's fire well there is rumour being spread and it seems that you have been outted. If you are gay, that's fine and if you're not that's fine too, but not to address this matter makes for speculation and that can ruin a person's career and private life. So if I have offended anyone , I'm sorry.

It just happens when I write Peac*ck. I don't put it there myself. I guess the site thinks it's a naughty word. So if I have offended anyone , I'm sorry. No offense taken. I don't want Cillian to fade away from the public eye either, but I respect the choices he has made. I prefer to watch indies rather than mainstream films anyway. It's just that indies can be hit or miss. Some indies hit it big, like catch the eye of the Academy Awards, and some barely get a limited release in theaters. Hopefully, one of Cillian's upcoming indies will get some attention. Even if Cillian does go off radar soon, he can always make a quick comeback. All it takes is one good movie (for the public) for him to jump back on the radar. I'm beginning to think that we should have thread about Cillian's star fading - it might at least generate some discussion, though it's a sad topic. That's a good idea, Pisces, since we've already pretty much gotten off topic here.

I've heard this movie mentioned several times on the forums, but I have no idea what it's about. Does anyone have a summary or atleast some info about the plot for me?
