awww, thank you, thank you *bows* I think that´s the "official" turning point for Alex shouting out her love for him, right? wow Alex! That was beautiful!!! I think this is my favorite chapter! You gave a detailed description of everything. And the Crane bird! It was so perfect! And his note was so incredibly romantic and her yelling 'I love you'! awww! All I can say it Bravo!! *claps* The credit goes to Azina, she first came up with the middle name in her story but I completely forgot about it and when I used the name for the first time in my story (BTW: in ATTFABH as welll ..) Azina told me and then I realized "what I´ve done" , hehe. But yeah, it suits him btw. 'Jonathan Thomas Crane'? I like the middle-name! It suits him!

It definitely is a turning point, I agree! I think she was debating it with herself before. Now that she has convinced herself, she'll find it easier to accept and forgive him for what he did to her family!

Well, with the "family thing" - I still wouldn´t go that fast... it´s too early to say it I´d think. no, but I really say it´s a personal turning point for her. - and maybe not even in personal matters but also in professional matters I might imagine. We should have in mind that being an assassin doesn´t really deal with the good and beautiful sides of life. And now as Alex start to "realize" those sides again she might bet bothered by her profession and she might also think about a way to get out of this.... It definitely is a turning point, I agree! I think she was debating it with herself before. Now that she has convinced herself, she'll find it easier to accept and forgive him for what he did to her family!

Ohh, this was so sweet and beautiful how you tied the bird with Jonathan and how it solidified some of Alex's feeling for him. And she finally said it! She finally said "I love you!!" Yes, if Jonathan shares much with that bird she's in big trouble indeed ... although he certainly will show her a better time than the crane.

These are our Illinois cranes ... I see them in the marshes and fishing by the ponds sometimes. I think of Jonathan whenever I see them. They are graceful, nimble and elegant.

And BTW: this is the black crowned crane... Does that mean Alex and Jon's first child will look like this?

lmao, that's hilarious Azina! I love how the Crane's eyes were blue and made her think of Jonathan. Wow, there's so much that both her and Jonathan are going to have to accept really to bring this 'relationship' forward. I'm wondering exactly how honest they're going to be with each other when they leave the city. I mean I'm guessing they're going to discuss the loss of her family, but is Jon going to talk about scarecrow, his dealings with Falcone and will she come clean about her job?
Once again Alex, awesome chapter and thanks for posting it so quickly, I hadn't realized you still needed to translate it. ;D Have a Cilly bar on me.

Awww.. thank you girls for all your posts. Well, let me start with the "story part" first: yeah, again we can see that somehow really serious happened to Alex - she´s not the same person she was when she came to Gotham - or we could even say (well.. based on the info we have about her in ATTFABH), she even might have returned to be the person she is strictly speaking. A person she "hided" all over the years because of the traumatic experiences she had. I think, what will happen between Jon and Alex now will be very very difficult but also necessary because although they love each other, the still have a lot of things hiding from each other and I think we all know from exprerience how difficult it is, how to tell sth. bad to another person, don´t we? to the "birds pics": hahaha, Azina you are great!! The Illinois cranes are really beautiful. I did some research in internet befor I tied the crane into the story and I was surprised how many "variations" of this bird exist. Very interesting. LOL, I don´t know if Jon´s and Alex´child REALLY would look like this, I have my doubts..but sweet, the little one there, eh? Thanx for the baby pic, Azina *hands you a Cillian bar* Okay, to "complete" the `crane pic series´: here are another pic of the black crowned crane and also a closeup pic of his eye I found on the net today - and there you can see: this bird has REALLY blue eyes - so he has the name, the black "feathers" and the blue eyes in common with Jonathan - definetly!!

Yeah, sometimes it´s really difficult to speak it out, eh? And to Alex it´s somehow breaking the ice because she couldn´t say it for a long time. Ohh, this was so sweet and beautiful how you tied the bird with Jonathan and how it solidified some of Alex's feeling for him. And she finally said it! She finally said "I love you!!" Hahaha, yeah... when you see her thinking like this you could also get the impression the Alex is afraid of having a more serious relationship and everything tied to it (..maybe to marry and have children) even she had sth. serious with Jonathan already a long time ago. She knows she loves Jonathan but somehow she´s afraid of what could happen in the future.. she started to think about it when she noticed the toothbrush in the bathroom, remember? Yes, if Jonathan shares much with that bird she's in big trouble indeed ... although he certainly will show her a better time than the crane.

When I did look up the black crowned crane I was pretty amazed it did have blue eyes ... I mean what bird does have blue eyes? But lo and behold it does! Yes, our Illinois cranes don't have that, if he had light brown eyes and was a red head it would have worked. But yes, I think this helped crystallize some feelings and doubts Alex was having and I loved how you tied in that Alex was wondering if Jon had been thinking about her and loving her all those years even though he knew she was dead. This was a beautiful chapter.
