1. His ability to portray any character faultlessly and have you forget completely, that he is Cillian Murphy and not that person on screen. He makes me believe that he is that character and is going through everything that character experiences. Basically his amazing acting.
2. How his personality comes across in interviews, on the red carpet, in real life- reserved, quiet, private, intelligent, polite and with a sense of humour.
3. His blue eyes and sculpted bone structure.
4. I love how he doesn't feel the need to do the whole A-list celebrity thing, how he keeps his private life completely to himself, and how he continues to do indie movies and choose his roles based on script and characters. He makes me so proud to be Irish and proud of our actors.
5. His great taste in books and music.

Maybe I didn't read it before but what are his tastes in book then?
1- His strong acting.Definitely.His own way of playing roles forgetting himself,and giving a powerful and dramatic dimension to the story.You are totally absorbed in.Actually I even can't explain.When I'm watching a film whom he is the main character,I'm so absorbed in his acting that some of his performances(in dramas) make me tremble,having goosebumps.You know,you see he's just a little piece of man but taking advantage of his gestural skills and his face and attitude,he has the ability to make you feel any feeling.In its whole complexity.That's it.He's one of the rarest actors to be able to give the deepest dimension to a character in his whole complexity.It's especially the case in Peac*ck.I can't help to tremble.A mix of uneasiness,questioning & depress.Because as a cinema review site said:
"As for the acting, let it be said that Murphy pretty much owns the film and everyone else sort of fades out of the spotlight when forced to share the screen with him. Susan Sarandon and Ellen Page are doing good work in this film), but Murphy's presence is so strong that the other cast members are more or less relegated to observing him with a blend of pity, fascination, curiosity and frustration."
2- His own personality.He is minded and witty(and we can see that through his acting),polite,open-minded,well-educated.He is a serious man in his own unconventionality.And he is vegetarian and atheist what I am myself.All in all,he seems to be a really nice man.And this is something getting so rare nowadays.
3- His great sense of humour.As I said he is a witty.Priceless.
4- His eyes probably.Of course,he is handsome I have to say.Irishmen are often good-looking but Cillian?He's someone..definitely.
5- His voice.There is something about his voice that I love but really love.

1. How he moves. How he swings his right arm higher when he walks. How he tilts his head and raises his brow. My fav is how he scans a room with his eyes and doesn't move his head. Dreamy.
2. His sweet voice, in whichever accent he happens to be speaking. Deep enough, barely crackly.. how he says "Hmmmm?" kind of like Cary Elwes in The Princess Bride (My brains, his strength, your steel against sixty men...).
3. How he is undeniably good to himself. Pescetarian, cycles, jogs, takes exquisite care of his skin. If he would put down the cigs... Yeah, yeah.....Yes, they are attractive, arent they?
4. How he protects his family from ...well...us.
5. Razz's #2. Exactly!

Great thread! Here's my top 5: 1. His acting 2. His down to earth attitude -- he seems so normal! 3. His intelligence/opinions 4. His blue eyes/looks 5. His Irish accent He's gorgeous, but what attracted me to him first was his stellar acting. It's not bad that he's great to look at, too.  |

I think it's cool that everybody loves his acting the most ! It's just proving that we really admire him, not just loving him because he's hot or sexy..

1. His acting. ;D I have never heard any critic give a negative comment about any role he's done. Even if the critics pan the movie they never pan his acting ability. 2. His personality. He seems to be a pretty modest person to me. He doesn't ever appear in the tabloids getting drunk or having affairs or throwing a fit. He's just a really cool, everyday guy that seems really easy to get along with. 3. His eyes. I could swim in them.  His eyes are one of the most mesmerizing things about him! 4. His cute looks! His has the most gorgeous face. I love his cheekbones and his lips. Just his whole face seems eternally youthful to me. 5. The fact that he can sing. I guess I'm just different but I love actors who are also good singers. I guess it comes from my love of musical theater but I just love the fact that he can sing too! |

Ooo, I'll take a try.
5. He's not some kind of attention hogger or some kind of crazy diva who gets into scrapes with the law and whatnot. In other words, he's smart, and I love that in a guy (and just people in general).
4. His voice. Accents in general are sexy, and Cillian's voice is like audio erotica in itself.
3. His eyes. Just... his eyes. ;D
2. His modesty and down to eart qualities.
1. His acting. I have yet to be unimpressed with any performance he's made.

1. His amazing acting abilities. I have not seen this man suck in anything. He entirely becomes the character he is playing. I forget that I'm watching someone act. I never get the feeling that he's just going through the motions. Also, he's an amazing physical presence, acting with this face and body as much as his voice. 2. His intelligence. Cillian comes across as very smart and well educated in interviews. It's refreshing. He's so much more than just a pretty face. 3. Integrity. You don't see Cillian Murphy in the tabloids. He doesn't do the typical dumb celebrity crap. When he's in the news it's because he's doing something awesome. 4. His amazingly beautiful bone-structure. I've always had a weakness for people with interesting faces. Typical pretty boys / girls just don't do it for me. Cillian is beautiful in a way that almost borders on freakish, something that goes beyond the masculine or feminine. That jawline! Those cheekbones! I could go on for paragraphs about this man's face, but you already know  5. Eyes. OMG eyes. Beautiful and lucid and expressive. mildly frightening as well. If I ever met Cillian in real life I don't know that I'd be able to look him in the eye. I know this is supposed to be a top five but.... 6. Freckles. enough said. |
