Short answer no. We wanted to do something interesting with the casting of Jack and Martin. Cillian was attracted to the role of Martin. I loved his work so for me it was an opportunity to work with a great actor who I thought would do something very interesting with Martin. Which he did. He gives a subtle and clever performance I believe. As for the similarities with 28 days later – well there is a virus and Cillian Murphy is in it.

As for my copy...it arrived this morning and i've not been able to watch it yet (it's killing me!).
I'm with family but have made a deal whereby i can sneak away at 10pm to watch it ;D
