Yayyyy!!! Finally! This trailer looks great, but it's far too teasing. I need to know what happens! Ahhh! I agree with Zombiekitten, Cillian's character reminds me a lot of Jim. He looks gorgeous! I hope they release a second trailer, that one just wasn't enough, haha. It'll have to do for now, I'm just glad we've got something to look at, finally! Thank you Mitzi! ;D

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! At Last!!!!!!! He does look like Jim... actually sort of something between Jim and Michael McCrae!! Okay... composing myself... (hard, because this man gets more and MORE handsome with each film he makes)... This movie looks pretty damn good. Tense, taut, edge-of-your-seat stuff! Love the very intense look when he has that rifle. Wait... why talk about it when I can just post it...!

Yeah! He has definitely something of Micheal too, that's exactly right ! And I'm happy that I'm not the only one who notices a certain resemblance to Jim. Gosh ! Seriously. How is he doing this ? He's such a good actor ! He seems to portray this character, Martin, as a brave man in this movie who learns to fight for his life and his love/wife. Like he was portraying Jim. And not in a single scene I was reminded of other roles he played, although he's holding a gun and is acting angry and strong and stuff that may could refer to some other strong characters like Rippner. Hope you get what I mean... LOL ^///////^ But ... I'm sorry... I do too much interpretation on just a few minutes of film material... Forgive me! I just wanted to tell about the feelings and thoughts I had from the very first view. I love that screenshot with the rifle too ! And this one as well:

I love ALL of the screencaps, the rifle one is a personal favourite of mine too ;D, but for some reason I just love the one I quoted. He looks so damn adorable! The raincoat, and the little smile on his face.

One of those situations where I really regret having read the script... but I'm really glad I read it, too. Yep: it's paradox time. Torn-time, too. The trailer is well done, and Cillian's looking most fine. But, since it boils down-- pretty much, save for a spectacularly ugly twist at the end (and, man, even by Cillian's usual character standards, it's extreme)-- to 28 Dead Calms Later, I think I'll stick with the two antecedents and give this one a pass. Especially since Dead Calm (and its superb Graeme Revell soundtrack) translated so beautifully to BluRay.
Curious, though: how long does it take-- really-- to overcome a personal tragedy of the type Retreat depicts? Wouldn't Kate and Martin have resolved things by now, one way or another... or have gone their separate ways?

I think I know how this plays out, but don't want to say anything because you all might think I'm crazy. Kinda want to read the script now... Does anyone have it? Seriously I'm not one of those "oh the book/script was better". For me I'm the opposite ...I'm more pumped watching the movie after reading the book.

That's great news - I was becoming concerned that there might not be a US release and I'd be consigned to waiting an eternity for the DVD. But this looks very promising!! All we need now is a release date... I'm guessing Septemberish... which might mean Retreat and Now being released nearly back-to-back. How awesome is that???
