So at the public interview last night Cillian revealed some very exciting news! ;D He mentioned that during the summer he will be starring in another production in Galway by Enda Walsh called Mister Man. He said it's going to be a one man show and he's currently trying to learn all the lines, which he's finding challenging as it's very fast paced. I've searched for any information on the web but i've drawn a blank so far. I'm signed up to the Druid Theatre company's newsletter so i'm sure i'll get the information as soon as it's definite. So it's brilliant news to hear Cillian will be back on stage here in Ireland in a completely new production after 6 years of absence. He said he loves doing both film and theatre and it's been too long since he's done a play. I can't wait!  |

During summer only ?? What a pity ...  I wish that play would show in september too 'cause I have plans to travel to Ireland in september for holiday. I would love to see him in a play !! And a one man show ? Oh boy... how great would that be... |

Well that's all he said- 'during the summer' or 'over the summer', but there's no dates yet so you never know. I've checked the Druid site and searched Enda Walsh and the production isn't listed yet, so it could be a while yet. Maybe late summer/early autumn. Keep your fingers crossed. |

Razz, thankyou for the info and I'm glad to hear you had a great time. Is the play called Misterman? I seen that on livejournal, but that person didn't know for sure either.

Oh yeah ! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, very hard !!! And do nothing else but hope ! Since I heard he does plays I was wishing for a opportunity to get to see him on stage. Maybe this is my chance.  (But I would probably understand hardly what he says when he's speaking in Irish XD) |

I don't think he would be speaking in Irish, it'll most likely be in English. Well i'd say so anyway.

This interests me big time... tho I'm afraid it will be too soon money-wise Such a bore, since my summer schedule is totally empty, except for this one trip in the beginning of August. And that might be the reason why I can only dream of going to Galway. Damn! Gawd, seeing Cillian do a play has been a dream of mine for quite some time now.. Damn again! |

Wow this sounds so interesting. Too bad I live on the other side of the world and most likely wont be able to make it. If anyone is going you will have to let us know what you thought. I would be interested to know when it is going to happen. Thanks for the info Razz.

I posted an article yesterday on the news thread but thought maybe It should be here too because it did mention a bit about this play.
