As much as i want to go i don't think i will be. Just realised the two weeks that it's on, is the same two weeks that the sale is on in work. And it's a major deal, starts at 4am on a saturday and keeps going till everythings gone! Place does be like a battleground with all the crazed bargain hunters! But it's usually a bit of fun, plus it's the only time you don't have to be extremely nice to customers! Plus if i want to go back to college in the autumn i really need to save for a laptop and all the other expenses. Ah well, maybe it'll come to Dublin after Galway and i'll get to see it there instead of having to go down to Galway and pay for the train and a B&B. Much as i love Galway city, it'd cost too much, i can't justify it after already going to the interview in Cork. Hope anyone who does go, enjoys it immensely. I have no doubt Cillian will be outstanding.

As you all know by now, Cillian will be appearing in Misterman by Enda Walsh as part of the Galway Arts Festival July 7th – 23rd. For those of you who can’t make it to Galway – as well as for those of you planning to see the show – here’s a chance to get involved AND to pick up some exclusive goodies (including programmes/posters/photos signed by Cillian) which won’t be available anywhere else www.fundit.ie/project/misterman-1Looking forward to seeing as many of you as can make it to Galway, Landmark Productions

I'm both glad and not-glad that my Galway trip is happening AFTER the fundraiser dates. (Getting more midweek time off so soon after Cork? Just wasn't gonna happen, kids.) That might have gotten majorly embarrassing. And that poor Citi card, screaming in pain.... As it stands, Citi is merely moaning in pain. (Yeah, I made a donation. ) But, come on, I've already ponied up for three tickets... and I'm not. quite. old. enough. to qualify for the senior discount. CLOSE. But not quite....

Am I right in seeing that it is a funding request on the staging? As in; The play is still running the dates with a paid actor and maybe just a less dressed up stage???

Wow I've never wanted more to see a play in my life I think! Sigh but no matter how much I want to see it it just wouldn't be that good for me financially I don't think, flying to another country and all. It sucks but I'll live. :Please please please take pictures, everyone who goes!!!

I'm seeing that the Landmark Productions site itself mentions the link to Fund It, and that seems reassuring. (It seems, too, that if the pitch weren't legit, Landmark or the Arts Festival organizers would do something to shut it down-- or post a warning on the Festival home page.) Heck, economies are in such a state of flux right now that I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt...! (Not that the current euro-to-dollar exchange rate isn't a complete shock to the noggin. Five bucks for a bottle of Coke...? SURE!) Will monitor the activity on my credit card: if anything untoward goes on (anything besides me acting like a complete Leo-impulse-buy insane person, that is), I'll give a holler over here.... (Man, if only they'd threaten to throw in a t-shirt. Then things might really get ugly.... )
