Congratulations to Enda Walsh, Tony nominee!!!! www.tonyawards.com/en_US/nominees/index.htmlBest book of a Musical for Once. That's not too shabby. Way to go, Enda! Remember that Misterman could not qualify for the Tonies because it was off Broadway.

FINALLY. I've been waiting for ages to hear of him being nominated for something on his own.

From someone's blog on tumblr : Oh my GOD, i’ve just got back from seeing Cillian Murphy perform Misterman and it was amazing! It was a complete one man show and he was fantastic, i couldn’t take my eyes off him. At one point he took off his clothes, and for a nearly 36 year old he was all toned and lovely and i don’t think i will ever get the image of his torso/pelvic bones out of my mind for a few hours/days/months.
is it sad that i actually didn’t want to leave the theatre?
Didn’t get to see him after as it was a matinee show, but i’m going to the last evening performance in a few weeks, and it is my mission to tell him how fantastic he is sincerely without being creepy.

and for a nearly 36 year old he was all toned and lovely ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Is 36 the new 63? Oh my, should old age arrive so early? I'd say he's incredibly nimble and resistant for a 36-year-old, and I know many 25-year-olds who would collapse after 15 minutes of Misterman, let alone 90. Still, he's 36 freakin' years old, he's young! I am almost 35 And I certainly don't feel like an old lady! My hubby is 37 and he is in perfect shape....if you get fit you're going to be toned. Even at such an old age

He didn't look anywhere near 36 from where I was sitting - which was literally about five feet away from the man. Boyish little face on him. Big blue eyes and pink rosy cheeks. He seems to have de-aged. He looked ten years younger than he is.
He has a fat-less body with nice thighs and hip bones. Flat stomach. Nice arms. To be fair, it's not a scene where you'd feel right leering, though.

Yes, definitely not a very sexy scene. At all. He has always looked much younger. In The Wind That Shakes the Barley he is supposed to be 4-5 years younger than Padraic Delaney. Of course he is older. Right now, I think he has never looked better (maybe, just forget the castaway beard ;D ;D ;D ) because he looks a bit older, let's say 25. But I'll always think of him as "the baby" because he has long been the youngest among my favorite actors. Now the younger one is Michael Fassbender, by a few months, but he looks older than his age, so guess Cillian is still the baby

Well 25 is ten years younger than he is. I thought that when I was watching Misterman; that if you compare that to how he looked in In Time (styling was totally wrong) when he was MEANT to look 25 he looks SO much older then than now - when he's mean to look 33. Which he totally doesn't. Bizarre.
I thought I'd hate the beard. Think he (and it) looked amazing. It'll be terrible come the end of May but when we went (and from when that fan pic is in the Lyttelton) it looked adorable.
Fassbender has looked at least forty since he was early 20s.

His look in In Time was actually quite subtle. He was meant to look 25, but someone who has been 25 for 50 years, so they had to give him this odd "young but weary look". It worked quite well, in spite of the orange paint they splashed on his poor face. That was kinda weird. Michael has probably never looked like a 20-year-old I've always liked older actors, LOL, Cilly being the one exception.

LOL-ing at the orange face thing! Glad you see that too Leyla! They could have at least matched up his skin tone properly if they were to cover his lovely freckles! And yes! Please don't make 36 sound old... Hyacinth ;D I already have hang-ups about physical ability and age because of being retired from my job since 27 I would have had a few more years left but it's another story. 10 years later I feel like a geriatric because of the warped world of ice-skating LOL

Probably a few tickets are going to show up, but I think the word of mouth has been pretty strong.

There were the most amazing tickets left for Thursday just gone. If I hadn't been doing a million hours at work and going to Las Vegas tomorrow morning I'd have SO been on a train. Alas, I WAS doing a 12 hour shift at work and AM going to Las Vegas in the morning so I can't really complain.
His beard is out of control now anyway. I saw him when he was still boyishly pretty.
