I know that my family members and teachers, friends, etc. have said some hilarious thing about Cillian. This is a thread for you to post some things others have said about him, or people making fun of your obsession. I bet you also have some friends in real life that love him, and funny thing you guys have said to each other about him.
I guess I will start!
So, lets get this straight. My dad dislikes Cillian Murphy. A lot. He doesn't find him attractive at all and LOVES to make fun of him and my love for him. lol XD. So ANYWAY, one day, I was showing my dear ol' Dad a picture of Cillian, and he says, "Sophie, I have an idea! Take a picture of him from batman begins, like the one you are showing me now, and show the picture to your friends. Then show them another picture of him in The Dark Knight and tell me how much weight he's gained."
That pissed me off so much so I started spazzing out. He went over to his drum set and said, "Now, this is a one I'd like to call, "The Cillian Blues". " And started played an awful song.
Oh, boy...
So, START! :DDD

When my family from Switzerland came to visit some weeks ago they asked me about my Michael Jackson obsession (They have been kind to send me memorabilia and stuff) so I mentioned Cillian and the man asked me who that was. I explained it was The Scarecrow from Batman and he started laughing at it saying things like 'couldn't you have chosen someone with a less gross mask?' and tried to explain to his wife who The Scarecrow was...
I showed my aunt BoP so if she wants to ask me about anything Cillian she refers to him as 'that woman'

I guess fathers like to make gentle fun of us all, Sophie  A friend of mine calls him "that woman" too, Victim of Love! A few months ago, I was watching Peac*ck on the projector we have in our very, very small living-room. We live in a very small house, my father actually sleeps in a camping car in the garden! But I guess he's always been kind of a hippie xD So anyway I was watching the movie in english without subtitles because I couldn't find a subtitled version, and my father was making coffee in the kitchen. He was curious about Cillian's voice and asked what the movie was about. I started to explain and said he would probably don't like it because as we say in French, my father speaks English like a Spanish cow does. But he just sat down next to me and watched the entire movie with me. During the end credits, he turned to me and paused for a long moment. Then he said "you know, I've never quite understood all these obsessions of yours. Pierce Brosnan, Adrien Brody, Tom Hollander, Johnny Depp although he's a decent actor, Jared Leto, Harrison Ford. But now what I can't understand is why girls at your age can't focus on real good actors with actual talent like Sillian Mourphy instead of just good looking ones." He didn't understand the words in english, but he said Cillian had so much emotions in his eyes that he didn't have to. Now he's the one who buys Cillian's DVDs on amazon! The funny part is... The coffee burnt during the whole movie. And neither of us noticed until the end of the credits. xD "Damn you, Sillian Mourphy, you burnt my coffee! Damn you!" |

I had my best friend over for a movie night, and after having watched the second movie 'The Duchess' I was sure I recognized one of the actors, and I figured out it was the guy from Breakfast on Pluto that Kitten dances with when the club was bombed. So we watched Breakfast on Pluto and Cillian hadn't spoken two words in the Kitten voice before she laughed and said 'what an annoying voice!'
Then this morning she picked up my 28 Days Later DVD from the table (I keep my so far 2 Cillian DVD's there) and she wanted us to watch it while having breakfast, I didn't even have to push the movie! and soon I heard her say what an annoying character Jim was... we're both horror fans and get really annoyed when people walk into dangerous situations because they're being foolish...
So, according to her Cillian is 'Annoying' LOL

Sorry to double post but I just have to share this funny thing my mum said...
"Why are you so attracted to men who are old enough to be your dad... How old is that actor dude anyway?"
... "He's 35 mum... meaning you'd have to have done it with a 14 year old boy" gosh did I laugh at her face when I told her that!
She does have a point though, but that's another story

I was talking to my little brother and at some point I said: If I had a penny for everytime I talk about Cillian I'd be a billionnaire!!
Then he said: If I had a penny for everytime I LISTEN to you talk about Cillian I'D be a frikin' billionnaire!

So the other day I was on MSN and had a picture of Kitten as my profile pic or what you call it...
This random guy (I have a LOT of random people on there) started chatting me up saying I looked soo cute and I just couldn't stop laughing... after a while I told him it was a picture of Cillian Murphy... the convo died after that LOL

These are hilarious stories you guys. And Bloody Rose, that is just too funny! I would just die if something like that happened to me!XD
So the other day, me and my friends were changing for gym class in the washrooms like we always do, and I was tying my shoes. I said, "You guys, I had the most amazing dream last night." And then, without skipping a beat, all seven or so of them said "*sigh* Cillian Murphy?" It was so awesome! They really are getting to know me... <3

Today I was waiting on the bus at the station and like I always do I was reading Breakfast on Pluto, smiling to myself at the small mention of P'ssy watching The Wombles and imagining Cilly in the Womble costume doing the dance!
This little old lady sat next to me and started staring at the cover (It's a movie tie-in so it has a beautiful picture of Cilly as Kitten on the front) and when I was about to leave she asked me what the book was about.
I got so bewildered I just told her it was a really good book and I just ran after my bus...

I told my best friend "you don't say Sillian like in Sissy, you say Cillian like in Kiki" and now she just calls him Kiki all the time.
And my father found Kitten very beautiful and was super embarrassed when I said it was a guy and told me I have the weirdest taste in men ever lol

licia: LOL!!! Those anecdotes are really funny. ;D I'd get really annoyed if my friend kept calling him that in front of me. One of my best friends never misses an opportunity to tell me that he looks "weird" and that his movies are "weird," and that his only good movies are the ones where he plays supporting roles.  Thanks to me, though, he's watched most of Cillian's movies. ;D
