There's talk on imdb.com of the current ending to Red Eye may not being the original ending. The proof someone is suggesting is that Rachel's hair is several shades lighter in the last scene, like they may have reshot it many different times. If this is true (and I'm not agreeing or disagreeing because there's evidence that supports both), what do you think were some of the ideas for the other endings in Red Eye? Discuss.  |

hmm. heres a really lame one. (kinda like the WAYYY alternate ending in 28dayslater)
after she escapes the airport, she gets into the stolen car, and is driving away on the freeway. but a police man pulls her over and says abuncha lame stuff then he thinks shes mental because well... wouldnt you? so he takes her too the police station and she gets to call her father. hes picks up and says hello then all a sudden the line goes dead. from hear, rachel could either gung ho her way out of the station and return to find her father dead. or as soon as shes released from the station, up pops jackson to get some revenge. (but yes, she did save keefe)
ok well thats really bad but i tried thinking about different alternate endings and yeha. but im sure there are lots of possibilites.

omg, this was like, replied to REALLY quickly. haha.
yeah!! or he could bail her out and then get revenge. orrrr he could bail her out and let her go. and then shannons sequal happens! (well not in the movie.) well yes, cause at the very end jackson could get a call about his new case. and the last line is... "JACKSON, you need lisa for this." or whatever the line is when he tells jackson (in shannons story).

I'm never letting my Red Eye fiction go. I loved writing 'A Complexity of Blue' so much. After I finish 'A Game of Fate', I'll probably do another.  But, I haven't gotten that far yet. |

actually, I have a question about the ACTUAL ending! Lisa took Jackson's cell phone, right!? So why was her dad's killer about to enter the house when she got there!? Did Jackson have enough time to call him from another phone!?
As for alternate endings....
Maybe Jackson gets to her dad's house before her (somehow!) and is holding her dad hostage. He asks about Keefe, she says it's too late, she already called to warn them. He gets angry and kills her dad. Then, he comes after her, they struggle, and she ends up shooting him dead! ( I know I know, sad ending, but I would want him dead if he killed my father!)

I'm sure he knew when Jackson was suppose to land in Miami and when he didn't hear from him, he was taking action himself. Because, you know how Jackson referred to the guys saying 'they listen to their master' or something. Well, he could have been bluffing, knowing his character. lol |

Ooooo, an alt. ending scene would be so much fun! Let's see... It should be Lisa/Jackson, of course. Hmm, maybe she could go to visit him in the hospital (like in so many fics) or whatever, just for closure. I'm half alseep, so don't mind this theory right now. I'll post something less brain dead in a few hours... |

Jackson said "he only responds to his master's voice - he's a good dog" which is why, yes, I was kind of surprised to see him standing at the door. Maybe Jackson did (for once) have a backup in case something happened to him - something timing sensitive.
But as for alternate endings, you know, I was convinced that the story was wwwaaayyyy to simple, and that maybe her dad was like, the bad guy or something, that maybe he knew something waaaayyyy more about this whole bad deal than just being the "knight in shining armor" at the end of the movie.
But yeah, huccome these guys (Lisa) don't get pulled over for talking on the phone and stuff?? It wouldn't make sense for them to know exactly how to catch her (Jackson didn't know which car she was driving, remember, so he couldn't have called it in...) but maybe he could have indicted her by saying SHE set up the whole assassination (she DID make the phone call to Cynthia to switch to 4080) and then step in and be the "good guy" and stuff...
Ok, now I'm just rambling so I'll end off..

Alternate ending? If I am wrong, the police sirens sounded before the shooting. So I guess instead of trying to finish Lisa off, Jackson escapes so as to plot his revenge for a sequel. I suppose he will return as a rasping Jackson, hehe... ;D |
