although I think, in this "special situation" in class (which was very very bad for Jonathan I must say, poor Jonathan) I´m sure she would have reacted different and have beaten the guy up Oh, definitely. Alex is a stronger character (morally and physically) than Susannah. Susannah just got overwhelmed because normal insults (like ewww, he's got cooties) she could handle, but being implicated in Jonathan's perceived dysfunction(s), that was too embarrassing for her. I like my characters flawed. Thanks for reading, and be sure to catch the Jammies story, whenever I get that finished.

Never mind me, I'm just in a creative mode at the moment. I need to turn that creative thing off anyway so I can get to sleep. Light bulb goes off. *ding* Thanks Stormy, that actually helps a lot.

Okay, I'm going to be gone for a couple days but I'll be able to work on the Jammies story on the plane.

Oh, wow, poor Jonathan, completely overwhelmed with Colleen stripping in front of him. Although I'd like to give him some fun. And as for the previous question I would say black silk/satin pajamas for Jonathan Crane.

I also would like to add that why worry about these questions about whether we are reading too deeply or not. I wrote "Shadows of the Mind" simply out of frustration that Jonathan Crane was provided no backstory and I wanted to provide him with one worthy of his character ... the backstory I wished I could have seen on screen in a separate movie, I guess. So whether our Cranes are seen in the movie or not I really don't worry about too much because we see so little of him ... as long as his character doesn't depart too much from original personality. And yes, we do love him ... that is why we're so fascinated with him. I'm glad my story offered you some inspiration.

I'm now tempted to write, "Dr. Crane Goes Shopping for Pajamas." LMAO! Er...well you're not corrupting the young'uns in the way that I think we're all pretty incorruptible on this site as you can't corrupt those that already are. Crane actually did suffer this type of torment as a child according to the small backstory provided in Batman, that's how the scarecrow name came about. I think you've certainly provided a bit more insight into than was provided by the comics, but it all seems like it's along the same lines. How true that Crane probably wouldn't worry too much about comfort. He'd probably like how some kind of uncomfortable material would make him feel, not letting him get too complacent. Once again, great, great work, very professional. *exalts to you* Would love to hear more from you SRG and I'm always available to beta read. On the flip side, being subjected to deprivation when he was younger, he might indulge himself in some luxuries and comfort as an adult. You see a few hints at this on Crane in the movie ... a tailored suit, designer glasses. I can imagine his study being filled with leather books and driving a luxury car of some sort. But this again is just my interpretation ... hence my leaning toward something of satin or silk. However if it was cooler out I would recommend our fine doctor wear cashmere.

Then she would have been better able to ... er ... take advantage of him. Buuuuut then it would descend into smut fic bordering on rape, so ... we won't go there. I'm getting the silk/satin vibe from most of you.

I just felt, upon writing that note, that I needed to justify the fan fic's existence. Since I write non fan fiction works, I generally feel my fan fics are the lesser works and have to justify why I spend time on them. Though I am realizing that any writing is good writing from the stand point it's practice. Plus if readers enjoy it, then why not?

I keep feeling I should abandon my fanfiction and work on my serious fiction - like my novel.
