yeah, about the "making love" thing (ive been meaning to write this for a while)... but it really cant have been anything physical because of the sequence of events... they cant have done anything before paul tells her how he fells about her (which is later in the series) bc if youre having sex with someone, you obviously know that they like you and then afterwords (if i remember) you assume that they dont see each other again...

i LOVED this series tons! Just watched it last week..i assumed Paul and Mrs. Hurdle "made love" in the past-before she stopped contacting him for a year...because paul had intentions of marrying her...and then she blew him off (god only knows why?? any input)? I was so scared that poor Paul was going to get completely screwed by the railroad and hetta, and it was going to have a sad ending...but it didn't...i did however, think they shouldve had Pauls friend (no one can remember the poor lad's name) find another love...
and M. macfayden was AWESOME in P&P and TWWLN.....he is good!!

Pig-n-me, I thought that the reason Mrs. Hurdle stopped contacting Paul for a year was because she didn't think he was good enough for her...until the time she appears in London to "reclaim" him. She says something like, "Paul, you've become the man I always knew you could be."

aww! Teehee...I've seen it. I got it from the library on VHS and just loved it! I kinda didn't like the other characters stories except for maybe Felix's story which was most of it...*scratches head* lol. But it was sooooo cute!! I tried to get my sis and mum to watch it but...maybe it sounded boring to them?
But chyeah...the main dude, ah...i totally forgot his name! well he creeped me out and i kinda laughed at what happened to him! served him right...
I advise everyone to watch this little mini series! it'd be worth it! Cillian's character is very cute and sweet so...yes!! haha...

Excellent mini-series. First rate. And yes, this seems the only character thus far where Cillian plays a nice, normal, noble sort of guy (w/ exception of Pieter, but - well, he IS a butcher, for God's sake - can you say ick?!). And, sing out here, but am I the only one who gets really WARM during those scenes between Paul and Winifred at her London flat? GREAT chemistry between those two. Wow. Far more palpable than the chemistry between Hetta and Paul. You get the sense with Winifred, Paul is REALLY restraining himself, bless him. Lordy!!! ::fans herself::

I totally agree about the chemistry between Paul and Winifred. I especially like the scene where he is unlacing her boots.
