War Horse 10/10
just don't know how to discribe my feelings about this.. I keep very huge and deep love to horses and almost every movie about them touches me to the heart This movie has so many moments that moved me to tears and it's not just about these beautiful animals. I always think wars are full of senseless pain and I don't watch movies about them very often.. (after I saw The Wind That Shakes The Barley I was completely heartbroken) War Horse was for me like a new hope that even a hard part o life can have happy end.

Silent House 6/10
It was good, went by REALLY fast cause you were on Sarah (the main girl) the entire time...and that's what made it creepy...however, I didn't yelp until the final act--and then I immediately got confused with the ending, however it didn't ruin the entire movie for me, unlike *SOME* people.

Dorian Gray (2010) 7/10 Through out the whole movie I was constantly thinking about the fact that Cillian would have played the role of Dorian a gazillion times better ... So I was quite destracted as you can imagine LOL What appeared very negative to me was the fact that the picture was growling and moving... Totally unnessessary shock effects if you ask me. Also I think this wasn't like this in the book (as many things in the movie) But I can err... It's years since I read it. Also for me the pacing was a bit too fast. I speak about the seduction of Dorian and his slowly changing character. But with the happenings in the book not really handy I can't really judge how close the movie's actually to the book.

Inglorious Basterds is pure Tarantino! Loved it! I recommend it! It's a lavish menagerie of French, German and deep south American English languages (with helpful subtitles throughout!) Brilliant plot, dramatic and beautifully done! 10/10

I watched two movies tonight:
'21 Jump Street' - 7/10 (Jenko is stoked to pass!); I enjoyed this far more than I would have guessed. 'Chronicle' - 8/10; Held my attention every second of its running time. I just wish it was a little longer.
Also watched 'Silent House' last night. I'd give it 6/10. Fairly impressed with Lizzie Olsen's performance. Bit of a WTH ending.

Contraband- Starring Mark Walhberg, Giovanni Ribisi and Ben Foster 8/10The main reason i wanted to go see this was the presence of Ben an Giovanni who i think are both extremely underrated actors. Anyway i was not disappointed at all, it was a really well made, funny, fast moving, intelligent action/thriller. Giovanni was really creepy in his role and played it to perfection and i i thought Ben was great in his more subtle role, especially as his story began to unravel. Another plus was Diego Luna who i didn't know was in it at all. Even in his small part he shows what a great actor he is, and in a role that's very different to anything i've seen him in before. Great sountrack too and all round great acting. I can't say anything bad about it, definitely worth a watch if you like films like The Town, Brooklyn's Finest, Gone Baby Gone, Inside Man and Panic Room or MArk Walhberg stuff in general i'd say you'll enjoy this. you do need to pay close attention though, i've just seen some people on IMDB trying to pick loads of plot holes but really they just weren't paying close enough attention and so missed some important small details.....Though one of the members seems to just be stubborn and is refusing to believe everything other members are explainging to him!

'En Kongelig Affære (A Royal Affair)'
10/10
It has been called the best Danish movie in ages and I can only agree, the sad story of a young woman marrying the insane king of Denmark in the late 1700's, finding friendship and love with Struense, doctor to the king who managed to change society from medieval to a much more modern society, having the public in his interest... to be executed in the end by the very same public he tried to help and everything he changed went back to what it was before...
The movie was well made, well played and written, the insane king lightened things up with his behaviour which wasn't just mere jokes... it was his way of surviving, but it made the more than two hours go by faster, and the amazing love affair between the queen Caroline Mathilde and Struense... as well as the drama, both political and more outspoken drama... I'm still in awe
I kept imagining Cillian playing Struense... he would have done well, but Mads Mikkelsen did an outstanding job

Four words: The Boat That Rocked Soooooo much fun! I love that movie, i watch it over and over.... The Hunger Games. Starring....people who's names i can't remember! and Woody Harrelson and Liam Hemsworth. 8/10I was really surprised by this, i'd heard all the great reviews and decided i definitely wanted to see it and it was brilliant. I haven't read the books but i want to now! Really well shot, well acted, great effects and a really great story at it's heart. And a great message for the society we live in today- we accept way too much as normal and it's getting out of hand. So yeah, i just loved it- oh an Woody Harrelson is frickin amazing! Love that man. I recommend it.

I'm watching Thirt13n Ghosts right now
The movie that started my horror movie obsession when I was about 13 and they showed it to us kids at the cinema in the childrens movie club... it scared me but in such a good way... I haven't watched it since but I've been searching for it, I had forgotten the title but I believe it was Bunnie who reminded me of it?
So far my only critique is that Mr Monk plays the father... and after having loved the Monk series I can't really take him seriously as any other character

The Avengers.FREAKING 50/20 AT LEASTI was very anxious about this movie, because I know how bad super hero movies can be. Even if Captain America was pretty good and Thor was nice, I was fearing the worst. Four different super heroes in the same movie? CGI effects and IMAX 3D? That sounded like another of those adrenaline-and-testosterone-filled superhero movies. But then Joss Whedon was announced as the director. Let's face it: this guy is brilliant. Buffy, Firefly, Dr Horrible, freaking awesome. He's like a geek-god. R. Downey Jr as Tony Stark / Iron Man, just as I remembered him from the 2 previous movies. Brilliant actor, leave it to him to appear natural and relaxed in a heavy armor with techno gadgets all over the place. Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Let's be honest, that guy IS Thor. Not a very challenging part but he's still as gullible as ever. Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / The Hulk, I was surprised the part didn't go to Ed Norton for he was pretty good in Hulk 2. But Ruffalo did a good job, he's very touching and moving for a big green berserk monster. Chris Evans as Captain America... He was good too, not as good as he was in his movie, but still just enough. Even if that guy will always be Mace for me. I just can't help it. Cillian's fault. A special word for Tom Hiddleston as Loki, the God of Mischief and main villain in this movie. He's one of those actors no one has ever heard about in real life but who has a huge fanbase on the internet (rings a bell, anyone? ). He's very talented and dedicated to his fans, he seems to be a great human being, and he is most definitely handsome. What's not to love about him? Loki stays and will forever be my favorite Marvel villain. Ever. The effects are pretty impressive and the costumes are just what we expect them to be: badass and tight at the same time. The plot is simple but it works. Defend the earth against a villain who wants the whole human population to kneel before him. Whedon managed to give to all of the characters their depths and their screentime. Just what's enough. Hawkeye and Black Widow don't seem left aside, and Loki is just as bad as we expect a villain to be. The 3D didn't give me a headache which is rare enough for me to write it down in the review. It was not overwhelming and nauseating like almost every single movie I've seen in 3D. It was just enough. To put it in a nutshell, Whedon was able to stay his geek self even with the huge production he had to handle. He didn't overdo everything like others are tempted to with amazing tools like the ones he had. There are still a lot of explosions and all, but it doesn't seem out of place and it doesn't make you want to cover your eyes because of all the light. I loved every single second of it. I'll end this review with this picture and leave it to your appreciation. Tinypic link.Whoops, not this one. How did that get in here? ;D That's the one: That's what I call an epic outfit

Totally agree with Jinx on The Avengers, now for my review...
100/10 XD
It was absolutely wonderful! What I love about this movie most is how it actually kept the focus on the team as a whole instead of giving one character more limelight over the other(s). Every actor was perfectly cast; I especially loved Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. I loved Ed Norton too, but Ruffalo definitely owned this role and made it his own. It really made you love and care for these characters; even Loki, for all his evilness, is a genuinely sympathetic villain in how inadequate he constantly feels compared to Thor.
Story was kind of run-of-the-mill "bad guys try to take over the world, heroes have to team up to stop them" kind of thing, but it was used well because the team itself was the focus. I do kind of hope the Marvel Cinematic Universe sets a kind of bar/precident for how other studios (cough, DC/Warner Bros) approach future comic book movie franchises.
If I had to pick one, and only one flaw with this movie, it would have to be that Captain America never shouted out "AVENGERS, ASSEMBLE!"
Alas, maybe in the inevitable sequel...
