Im really sorry if theres already a thread about these and Im just to stupid to realize it I thought I would make a thread about the movies "Saw" 1 and 2 because in my opinion their the most ingenius movies ever(no offence to Cillian's movies of course). I personnaly think their great because they kindof have a morality message in a way. I also think the first one was a little more thought-out in the making and origionality of it. But I still LOVE Saw 2. What do others here think of these movies?

Funny you should mention them....I'm downloading Saw 2 right now to see if its worthy of buying. =p
Saw was a great movie. I thought it was completely awesome and it was great to finally see a scary movie with a new type of plot twist on it. Those seem to be a rarity nowadays so it was just great to see something new. I thought the whole idea of having the victims kill themselves was pretty wicked. It reminded me alot of Seven and I thought that was a grand movie as well.
All in all, 'twas a great movie and I can't wait to see the second one!

I finally saw Saw II only an hour ago and I must say....I loved it! It did one heck of a freakin good job at freaking me out and some of the death scenes were just so disturbing. I was definitely impressed.
My only complaint though was that by the third time we saw Beverly Mitchell bawling her eyes out (yes, I honestly don't blame her for being frightened) I wanted to slap her in the face. Nuh, I'm mean. XD

Yeah, the twist is so great! I should have expected something like that but I honestly didn't. It automatically got props for that.
Oh the syringe pit freaked me out so bad when I saw it! My gosh...I didn't even want to watch that scene but couldn't take my eyes off of it.

oh man, i hate to be the odd man out here..but i LOVED saw , but hated saw 2..i just thought it was purley for "shock and gore value"..it made me kind of sad...although, i must admit, the ending was very sneaky!! So there are my 2 cents...we can't all agree all the time though!!

Much love, greenday! I'm glad someone mentioned Leigh...I absolutely adore him! Although he's no Cillian, I loved him in Saw. I was even more impressed when I found out he wrote/co-wrote both movies. Has he been in anything else? I know he was in one of the Matrix movies and some Australian film.

He was in a movie called One perfect day. And he is writing saw 3 and Silence, both with James Wan. ;D ;D
The Saw movies always have one really good twist at the end, so I wonder what will happen in Saw 3!
If any of you guys have the saw dvd, listen to the commentary w/ Leigh and James, it is so freaking funny. Sorry if I'm rambeling, I just like the saw movies

I got this from imdb:
Tommy Matisse is a gifted musician studying at London's Royal Academy of Music, where he is striving to write a brilliant new operatic song called "One Perfect Day" in conjunction with his girlfriend Alysse back in Australia. When Tommy's sister Emma dies of a drug overdose after a night of clubbing with Alysse, he returns to Melbourne and breaks up with Alysse when she admits her part in Emma's death. As Alysse seeks solace in drugs and in the arms of a manipulative nightclub owner, Tommy undertakes an odyssey of self-discovery and tragedy in Melbourne's dance music scene. Fate brings them together again when Tommy reworks their opera by infusing classical music with electronic beats, but further tragedy is just around the corner...
I think it was made in Australia, so you might only be able to get it on ebay or amazon. Besides that, I don't know much about the movie.

Thanks, I'll try Ebay or BN.com. I wish foreign films were more accessible here! Well, I guess they're accessible but cost a fortune!
