Well, I'm not going veggie, at least not really. But I've noticed that red meat gives me the worst heartburn, so I'm TRYING to avoid that. I come from a mostly Italian-American background. We eat meat ALL THE TIME! I mean I swear Easter revolves around lamb in my family, not Jesus. And don't even get me started on Christmas Eve. It's the night where we eat like 8 different kinds of seafood (I know a lot of people don't consider seafood and fish to be meat). And almost every Sunday is Pasta and meatball day. (I heard they don't even have meatballs in Italy!)

Sorry. I have to bring up meat one more time: I also had frog legs yesterday...I could actually taste the riverwater. Nah, they were good! Anyway...maybe for lent next year I'll give up meat and see how I fare. I'm thinking it would really help with the heartburn if I didn't eat meat! And I'm studying Buddhism, and there's a LOT of meat restrictions involved, but I still want to become Buddhist, so...I really have no choice.

Frog legs? I can´t imagine that anyone would eat it for real! Hmmm, are they meat or maybe seafood ... ehm lakefood? ;D But its the same here tinydancer ... we have meat at every opportunity before the Cillian diet... ... but my veggie diet works good till now! Wasn´t easy while I have to stay in hospital the last 11 days ... they tried to persuade me to eat meat, but I managed to stay firm! ;D Btw tinydancer, never let them take out your gallbladder! They took out mine as a try 3 years ago, since then everything takes a turn for the worse!

Oh no! I don't have galstones, but they think I might have something else...not sure what it's called. And by the way-frog legs taste EXACTLY like chicken wings. So I don't know if they's be considered meat or "lake food"---that was cute, by the way---but I don't think they'd be considered sea food.
Why were you in the hospital? I hope everything is okay!

Another six days in hospital ... but it seems to be better now ... I hope it will last this time!!! Tinydancer, they hurted my pancreas while the gallblatter surgery ( no gallstones as well, but a completely deformed gallbladder ) 2 years ago ... after this I got a inflammation of the pancreas (acute pancreatitis) and nearly died ... this dorky doctors!!!!! Three weeks ago there was a relapse of the inflammation caused by a medicament ... I had to be in intensive care ... was a very very bad time ... and another relapse after I was discharged from the clinic .... SUCKS!!! I hope this will never happend again ... at the moment I can´t imagine anything worse And all because of this half assed doctors!!! Such stupid morons!!! Sorry about my rude words, but I´m really berserked about them!! I can´t underwrite that if I met them again I won´t assault them ... You have a gluten intollerance?? This is bad! But now you know why your stomach is upset most of the time and you can find a remedy! I know its not easy to manage a medical diet ... I myself have a lactose intollerace, I know it since 9 years and I become accustomed very well ... Surely you´ll learn to manage it as well and feel a lot better than! You have my deep compassion! Get well soon!! *hug* Btw, you can buy many things without gluten, also pasta!!! Here is a list of a few shops wich sells gluten-free food! www.gfmall.com/I won´t get any problems with avoiding meat the next days ... I´m only allowed to eat white bread and skilly soup ... bäh! Ok... think I´ll go back to bed now ... I can´t sit any longer for now ... but I´ll be back tomorrow!

Well, I don't know, I just had the test today. I hope you are alright! Did you have to do a gallbladder test where you laid down for an hour and a half or so and they took pictures of your stomach then for another half an hour or so they give you an IV that makes your gallbladder act as though you ate a big meal? I had that done last week, then today I just had a CT scan. The nice nurse man held my hand!

No problem! I hope you´ll get the result soon!! Hmm, I´m not allright yet ... but surely it will get better the next days and weeks ... I still need much rest and anastasis ... it will get ok surely! Yes I have this tests as well ... and another one similar to a gastroscopy, they pushed foreward the tube trough the mouthpiece of the gallbladder and they need 1 1/2 hours ... fortunately I got a narcosis for this ... but there was no nice nurse man!!! You´re so lucky to have a nice guy to hold your hand!

I kept appologizing and he kept saying "Don't worry, I have to hold people's hands for this all the time!" and "It's always scary when you've never had it done before" and "If you're going to be scared, you're going to be scared, and it's COMPLETELY normal!" and we talked about other things to take my mind off of it. It was a 10 minute test, but the prep was a few minutes and I was mostly scared because I had to have an IV...and those are DISGUSTING!
Is a gastroscopy the same as an endoscopy? Because I had to have a tube inserted through my mouth to check for ulcers, Crohn's disease, etc. And I was out for that. I also had a colonoscopy, and when I woke up I guess I asked the doctor "Did you find my car keys?"
