Hi guys! I finally got a Red Eye fan fiction story in my head and I wrote the first chapter with pen/paper while I was at work tonight! We were really slow. So here's a summary:
It's been a year since Lisa Reisert and her father were nearly killed by a charming assassin named Jackson Rippner. Now he's in a correctional facility and it will be years before he's able to go free. And Lisa's got a new job, boyfriend, and life. But Jackson still wants Lisa. And he'll do anything to make her his own, even if it means getting out of jail somehow and kidnapping and threatening to kill one of her closest family members....or even her whole family. But Lisa won't give herself up. She will go through painstaking lengths to make sure Jackson doesn't hurt a single hair on her family's head. Even if it means becoming a murderer.
Lisa Reisert yawned and stretched her arms high above her head as bright sunshine sneaked its way through the tightly drawn curtains. She opened her eyes and turned her head to her sleeping boyfriend, who's back was to her. Canaan always slept on his right side. Never was there a morning that Lisa woke to Canaan's face to hers. She gently touched his feathered blonde hair, smiling as he twitched. She sighed as she swung the covers off her legs and rose to her feet. Walking to the bathroom, she stopped abruptly when she noticed a black leather wallet lying on the dresser. The initials on it were "J.R." Her whole body began to tremble. Beads of perspiration were already forming on her face and her heart was pounding heavily. No, it couldn't be him, she thought. Jackson Rippner was locked up in a correctional facility. Had been for the past six months. He was sent there right after being released from the hospital, where he had received treatment for his gunshot wounds and the stabbing in his throat. Lisa laughed and shook her head. She placed a hand on her skull as she remembered that the wallet belonged to her father, Joe Reisert. He had left it behind when he had visited her the night before. She pushed the thought away and entered the bathroom. She flicked on the light switch. The room was a mess. Canaan did not know how to clean up after himself. His dirty work clothes were strewn about the ceramic tile floor. He had not pushed the shower curtain back, which was one of Lisa's pet peeves. And he hadn't put the toilet seat down after he had used it. These irresponsibilities of his drove her nuts but she loved Canaan deeply. He treated her like a queen. Lisa looked in the mirror at herself. The scar on her chest from when she was sexually attacked three years ago was still visible, but not by much. It still brought back the terrible memories every time she laid her eyes on it. But that man had been killed by police not long after he had done that to her. And she was free of worries. She opened the medicine cabinet and took out a tube of toothpaste. She grabbed her toothbrush and ran it across her teeth. When she looked up at the mirror, she froze. There was a man's face in the reflection behind her. But it wasn't Canaan. It was the face of evil. Jackson Rippner.

Hey guys! Here's Chapter 2!!
Canaan Reynolds practically leaped out of bed at the sound of his girlfriend's glass-shattering scream. He dashed into the bathroom.
"Lise! What's wrong?" he asked.
Lisa turned around. He stood in the doorway, arms stretched out with each hand on each side of the entrance. His head was hung low and was clearly out of breath. He kept his worried eyes on her.
"I thought I saw him," she whispered. He was here. It was his face."
Her expression turned to anger.
"And what have I told you about calling me that? You know I don't like it-"
She moved her eyes to the floor.
"Anymore."
Canaan wrapped his muscular arms around her fragile body. She buried her face in his chest.
"I'm sorry", he said softly, resting his chin on her head. "It just slipped out."
Her warm tears soaked through his white tanktop.
"It's never going to end", she cried. "He's always going to haunt me!"
Her cries were muffled against his chest. Canaan ran his hands through her soft silky hair as she hugged him tighter.
"Lisa, honey, I know you can't help those bad memories that come to the surface. But you have to remember that Rippner is in lock-up now. And he won't be out for a very long time. You have me, and that's all that matters."
She looked up at him with tear-filled eyes. She let go of him and wiped the moisture from her cheeks.
"You're right," she said. "He's just a figament of my imagination now."
Canaan smiled, his hazel eyes dancing and sparkling as he did so.
"Now let's get ready for Julie's arrival," he said.
Lisa's eyes widened. Her younger sister was scheduled to show up at her front door at noon. And it was a quarter till eleven!
"Oh my god, Canaan! How could you let this happen! There is no way I'm going to be ready by the time she gets here."
Lisa ran past her blonde boyfriend and immediately began making the bed. Canaan followed close behind, picking up his own dirty laundry and other items that didn't belong on the floor.
********************
Julie Reisert was three and a half years younger than her sister Lisa. She had chocolate brown hair, but was the spitting image of her big sis. They were even the same height and weight. But Julie was more humble and shy than Lisa. She didn't date much, mostly due to her fear of actually approaching men herself. She was a homebody. Real bad. She still lived with her parents, and since she feared driving, she practically had to stay at home. But she preferred it that way. All Julie ever did was paint abstract pictures of animals and inanimate objects. But she made her money by babysitting her neighbor's children three times a week. Lisa felt like Julie should do more with her life. She had once mentioned that Julie should sell her paintings but the younger sibling became very defensive and insisted that the works of art weren't worth it. And when Julie became argumentative, it was best to just let her win. So Lisa had dropped the whole situation. But Julie adored Lisa. Her big sis always stood up for her when times got tough.
***************
Julie grabbed her suitcase as her train pulled into the station. She couldn't wait to see Lisa. This would be the first time in fourteen months. And she had so many things planned for them. Fun, girly things. Hopefully, there wouldn't be anything to change that. Nothing could possibly go wrong.
Stay tuned for chapter 3! Coming soon!

Ok. Here's Chapter 3!
Jackson Rippner picked up his lunch tray and walked over to his regular seat. The last stool at the last table in the far corner of the cafeteria. No one ever sat with him or near him. He wasn't the friendliest of inmates. Everyone knew he was intelligent, but he used that intelligence to chastise and manipulate the others. So all the men stayed away. Jackson looked up from his meal. A tall uniformed guard stood before him.
"Rippner," he said quickly. "You have a visitor." Jackson stared at the broad-shouldered man. Letting out an annoyed breath, he rose to his feet. He held out his hands for the guard to cuff him.
"This way," said the guard.
Jackson followed him through several long hallways, passing a few fellow criminals who sneered at Jackson and gave him obscene gestures. He grinned slyly as he continued walking. As he walked, the thought of who might be visiting him crossed his mind. There was a small trace of hope that it might be Lisa. But Jackson knew that was impossible.
"The only reason she'd come to see me is if she were desperate and horny," he thought aloud. He grinned.
"What was that, Rippner?" spat the muscular guard.
"Nothing, sir," Jackson said slowly.
The guard shot him a cold glance. Jackson drew his eyebrows together and sneered. The guard opened a thick steel door and Jackson entered the room. After the guard removed the handcuffs, Jackson took a seat on an uncomfortable aluminum chair in an enclosed booth. To his right was a black telephone and in front of him was a sheet of thick plexiglass. On the other side of that glass was his lawyer, Douglas Laxley.
"Ten minutes, Rippner," said the guard. His deep baritone voice seemed to shake the whole room. Jackson looked up at him and nodded as he exited the room. The young inmate and his lawyer picked up their phone receivers simultaneously.
"What are you doing here, Laxley?" Jackson asked, his face expressionless.
"Gee, Rippner. I thought you'd be thrilled to see me."
The short, bald, spectacled lawyer laughed sarcastically. he opened his briefcase with his free hand.
"After all, we are the best of friends."
Jackson stared at him. Hard. "Just tell me why you're here," he smirked.
The middle-aged man sighed. "Look, Rippner. I know I didn't do a very commendable job keeping you out of jail. But I had no choice. It was either have the judge sentence you, or I lose my job."
"You should've gone for the latter."
Douglas Laxley frowned. "Okay, Rippner. You want to insult me, go right ahead. Insult me all you want. But the more you do, the less I help you get out of here."
Jackson's eyes widened. He leaned in closer to the glass. "And what exactly do you mean by that?"
Laxley rubbed his chin. "Seems like your arrogant attitude has been getting you in some pretty tight situations here lately. Well, I've talked to the representatives and employees of this entire facility. No one can stand you."
Jackson's lips formed into a faint grin. "Yeah....and where are you going with this?"
Laxley let out an angry breath. "These people want you out, Rippner."
He took a thick sheet of paper from his briefcase and held it up to the glass. "This is a contract-"
"I know what it is," Jackson spat. "You mean it's a release form. I read my rights and regulations, understand what they say, and sign the paper. I walk out of here a free man, never to be heard from again. Did I pass, lawyer?"
His cold blue eyes never left Laxley as he spoke.
"That's the drill," said the annoyed attorney. He slipped the paper and a pen under the glass for his client.
Jackson read the document. "It says here that I'm being released on good behavior," he said without looking up.
"That is correct," said Laxley. "Now sign the paper so I can get you out of my sight."
Jackson shot him an unfriendly glance as the picked up the pen and scribbled his signature.
"Okay, Rippner. Time's up."
The guard's booming voice took Jackson by surprise.
The young man pushed the paper towards the aging lawyer.
"That's it, Rippner. You shall be soaking in a hot tub in a few hours." Laxley hung up the phone, as did Jackson.
The guard grabbed the inmate by his bicep and helped him to his feet. As he was being cuffed, Jackson watched Laxley talk to another, yet taller, bald man. The attorney handed the document that had just been signed, shook his hand, and exited the room.
The guard finished with the handcuffs and led Jackson back to the cafeteria where he could finish his lunch.

Chapter 4! *********
"Julie!" Lisa exclaimed when she opened her front door. She didn't even give her sister time to put down her luggage as she wrapped her arms tightly around her.
"Lisa! I can't breathe!" Julie wheezed. She dropped her bags and tried to pry her older sibling's hands from her body.
Lisa let go. "I'm sorry," she said. "I'm just so happy to see you!"
"I know, sis. But you have to invite me in eventually." Julie shifted her weight from one leg to the other.
"Oh, sorry Jules," Lisa said, holding the front door open. "Come on in."
Julie entered the house. Her sister took her bags and set them aside. Lisa took a seat next to her sister on the sofa.
"So where's this new boyfriend of yours that I've been hearing about?" Julie asked.
Lisa smiled at the thought of Canaan. "He's working. He had just pulled out of the driveway when I heard you ring the bell."
"Was that him in the red Corvette?" Julie asked. Her eyes lit up. She loved Corvettes.
"Yes, that was him," Lisa replied.
"What does he do?"
"Owner and manager of the Corvette dealership here in town."
Julie raised her eyebrows. "Really? Wow. He must make good money then."
Lisa nodded. "You could say that. We definitely get by."
"So I understand that you're not working for the Lux Atlantic anymore?" Julie asked as she brushed her dark hair out of her eyes with her fingertips.
Lisa lowered her gaze and sighed. "Yes, that's correct. I....it....it was a stressful job and I....I just couldn't handle it anymore." She shook her head and pressed a hand to her forehead while she tried to conjure up the perfect lie. Julie knew absolutely nothing about what had happened with Jackson Rippner and the whole assassination plot. And Lisa wanted to keep it that way.
"What is it you do now?" Julie loved to ask questions, despite being humble and shy.
Lisa sighed. "I run my own business here at home. I make my own bath and beauty products. Soaps, lotions, shampoos. It's called Mystic Potions."
"Wow, Lise. Sounds like you've got your life together," Julie said with a smile.
Lisa winced at the name her sister had just called her. "Julie, could you please not call me Lise? I....I just don't care for it anymore."
Julie frowned. "Okay, sis. Whatever you say."
Lisa rose to her feet. "Are you thirsty?" she asked her sister. "We have soft drinks."
"Sure, I'll have one," Julie replied. She stood and began to follow her sister into the kitchen.
"No, I'll get it," Lisa said. She put her hand in front of her sister to stop her. "You just relax." And she disappeared from her sister's sight.
Julie looked around the large living room. The walls were lined with shelves that held numerous framed photos. She noticed one of Lisa hugging and extremely attractive man with feathered blonde hair and and bright hazel eyes. His skin was golden tan and he had the biggest smile. And his teeth were unbelievably white and straight.
Julie smiled. That must be Canaan, she thought. She continued to look at the rest of the pictures. Lying on the coffee table was a pack of Kodak exposures. She picked them up and looked through them. They were mostly of Canaan and Lisa kissing and hugging each other on the beach.
"That must've been when they went to Cancun," Julie whispered to herself. She had heard all about that trip from her parents.
As she was flipping through the pictures a wallet-sized photo fell to the floor. Julie set the rest of the photos down and picked it up. It was of a young man with dark hair and transluscent blue eyes. He had an evil smirk on his face, which gave Julie an eerie chill. He held a cell phone to his ear and it was obvious that the photographer had taken him by surprise. Julie assumed he was wealthy by the look of his collared blue shirt and black jacket. And that had to be a Rolex on his wrist. She found him very nice-looking. But who was he? She couldn't recall ever seeing a picture of him before. Especially when she was with Lisa. And someone had intentionally cut him out of a larger photo. But it had been fourteen month since she last saw Lisa so her sister could have made all kinds of new friends. The more she looked at this picture, the more she became enthralled in the man's blue eyes. And it made her realize just how much she was desperate for a boyfriend.
"Hey, Lisa?" Julie called. "Could you come here please? I need to ask you a question."
