American History X - class.....just brilliant. I loved it but it's so sad. 10/10. I want to watch it straight away again. Both Edwards in it are brilliant too. It'll be going in the favourite movie list! ;D

10,000 BC I had heard that this movie was not the greatest, but I saw it lask night at the dollar show. I have to admit, I thought it was pretty good, despite the slightly predictable ending. I might have even paid full price to see this when it first came out.

American History X was definitely good but soo heartbreaking! It definitely showcases Ed at his best! I swear, he's such a great actor...
Anyway, I saw Sex and the City last weekend. Opening night was so crazy. I can't believe people pre-booked their tickets already for that night! I mean, I liked the sitcom and all, but I didn't realize that it had such a strong fan following.
Sex and the City 6/10 Eh, it was all right. It wasn't too terrible. It was a bit too long for me, and I didn't like how it ended it all! It's much, much better off as a sitcom. As a full length movie, it was a bit too much.
The Forbidden Kingdom 4/10 Bleh, I slept through most of it. The story wasn't all that original, and the script definitely needs some fixing.

The Mighty Ducks 8.5/10 Absolutely love these movies. I remember in kindergarten we had an assignment that was to say why we loved our parents and mine was "I love my daddy because he lets me watch The Mighty Ducks." Had a crush on Joshua Jackson (Charlie) when I was little too. Reminiscing is oh so fun.
Casper 6/10 A good kids' movie. So sad what Casper did to help Kat (Christina Ricci)... But I had a huge crush on Devon Sawa when I was little. And I love the line he says to Kat: "Can I keep you?" So sweet.
Finding Nemo 8/10 My favorite Pixar movie to date (still looking forward to Wall-E). So cute and lots of laughs. "Bubbles!" And "Nemo?! That's a nice name."

Yeah, I deleted my previous post and re-posted it here. I just don't like the looks of double posting. It irks me. The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford 7.9/10 What a beautiful film! The cinematography was just exquisite and breathtaking! I was blown away by the way it was filmed. The acting was quite brilliant, too- especially by Casey Affleck. He brought so many layers to the role of the troubled Bob Ford. He's definitely an actor to look out for. Brad Pitt was not so bad himself either as the charismatic yet scary and unpredictable Jesse James. The only downfall of this film was the length; it was a bit too long and dragged in some parts... but fortunately, not enough to put me to sleep! I was still quite intrigued thanks to the great acting! Wind Chill 7.6/10 I wasn't really expecting much from this one, so I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out better than I thought it would be. It's a pretty predictable ghost story that we've all seen before, but I thought the two leads, Emily Blunt and Ashton Holmes, worked pretty well with the material they had to work with. It wasn't that scary or gory or anything, but it had a few good jumps here and there. At about 90 minutes long, it was short and sweet and to the point. If it were any longer, it probably would have sucked. I liked the ending; it was nice and bittersweet. I also thought the guy was a cutie, so that's another plus.

Becoming Jane 8.5/10 I have seen this film a few times but tonight was the first in a while. I just love this film! I think it is funny and charming, maybe a bit long, but as I thoroughly enjoy James McAvoy I do not mind! I really love the love story so much and I cry quite a lot from the point of about thirty minutes until the end, probably even some before that! .... I really believe in the love between the two main characters, Jane and Tom (Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy), and the ending just crushes me every time. It might not live up to the caliber of Jane Austin's stories and film adaptations of her writing but it is still a great love story none the less.

The Science of Sleep-10/10I loved Eternal Sunshine(another Michel Gondry film) and i love quirky, unusual films so i figured i'd most likely love this and i did! ;D So enchanting and magical and funny and just brilliant! Plus Gael is brilliant and i love his character. He's like a little boy. Main plot is that Stephane(Gael Garcia Bernal) has very vivid dreams in which he can do whatever he likes-has his own tv show, writes a novel etc. In his dreams he successfully gets the girl who has moved in next door to him but in real life it's not so easy. Also he can sometimes get confused with what's real and what's his dream! Aw he's adorable......anyway yeah i love it. So weird-my kind of thing. ;D Here's a trailer incase anyone is interested: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRwLjXFBQj4

Razz, I have wanted to see The Science of Sleep since it came out but I never have!! It sounds great, I didn't even know the plot, I just remember the trailers looking interesting and I LOVE Gael Garcia Bernal! I went through a Gael kick a couple years back, haha! He is still brilliant and good looking in my mind though! I am almost done with university, so in about a weeks time, I think I'll be renting this film! Thanks for the reminder about it, it had fallen off my radar!

Thanks, Razz, for the link to The Science of Sleep trailer. I've only vaguely heard about it, but now that I've watched the trailer, I'm really interested in it now. It looks really good! The leading actress in the movie looked really familiar to me, and I realized she played Sean Penn's wife in 21 Grams (which is also a really great movie, too). I also really loved Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind! Thanks! There Will Be Blood 8.7/10 Believe it or not, I didn't really have much expectations for this movie. Quite honestly, I was a bit skeptical of the hype surrounding it. I heard from some people that it was really slow and boring, but that is so far from the truth! It was such an amazing movie! Indeed, it might be a bit slow to some people, but I thought it was quite well-paced. The music (which was fantastic) definitely helped with the length of the movie; it kept me on edge and held my interest. The cinematography was absolutely magnificent! It definitely deserved the Oscar for Best Cinematography. It had a great story and an astounding lead actor! Daniel Day-Lewis was just incredible. He played the part of a man falling apart physically and mentally quite well. Bravo! For such a memorable performance from Daniel! Oh, and I watched Wind Chill again. I like it a lot for some strange reason. Here's a link to the trailer if anybody's interested: Wind Chill Trailer. And here's a link if anybody wants to watch it: Wind Chill. I suggest you guys give it a try!

razz, I really want to see The Science of Sleep. I started watching it one day, but unfortunately had to go somewhere 15 minutes after I started. Might go try to rent it tomorrow. I've only seen Gael in Y Tu Mama Tambien but I liked the movie and his acting in it. And it helps that he's a cutie.

Mansfield Park I have no idea what year this was made, or who the starring actors are, but I loved this show. I am a huge Jane Austin fan, and I have read this book before, bit the movie did a fairly good job with the plot. I love the girl who plays Fanny, but Edmund was not as attractive as I had hoped. It was cute and wonderful!
