Pride and Prejudice - (with Keira Knightly) 9/10
This was my first time seeing this classic film that I have always wanted to see and it was splendid! I just LOVED Keira in it, as well as the actor who plays Mr. Darcy. Joe Wright, who directed it, originally considered James McAvoy for the film, although I am not sure for which character. I am sure James would have been wonderful as Mr. Darcy but I think the actor who played him suits the temperament of the character better, he is taller, more dark and brooding than James. If anything I think James could have played the love interest of Jane, Keira's eldest sister. (I am sorry I do not really know the names). All the same, as a die hard James fan, at first I was disappointed that James could have but was not in the film. I soon realized it was wonderful regardless! A great love story! So glad I finally saw it!

I absolutely looooved the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. All of the actors were well-casted. Brilliant performances from all of them, especially Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen (he was in The Way We Live Now with Cillian; that's how I got interested in Pride and Prejudice in the first place. ). It had everything I would've wanted in a period romance... It's perfect. I'm glad you enjoyed it, kaatopp. The Thing 6.5/10 I heard this was supposed to be one of the scariest films ever, and I was actually looking forward to being scared silly. I was disappointed unfortunately. It had a few good jumpy and gross-out scenes, but it didn't really hit me. I did like the story though, about how the crew lost trust in one another and whatnot. The Incredible Hulk 7.9/10 It was actually pretty good for what it is - an action film - nothing more, nothing less. The action sequences were pretty amazing, along with the cinematography. The story was also pretty interesting. The script could've been tweaked a bit better, but I thought Ed did well with what he had to work with. I definitely like him better in more intense and involved roles. Iron Man was definitely better, but The Incredible Hulk is not so far behind it. It's definitely enjoyable for all the action lovers out there.

I saw it in the cinema twice! ;D Matthew is so yummy and dreamy and perfect for the role. I loved Simon who played Mr. Bingley! He was funny.

Heaven 9/10: I really liked this film and I had been waiting to see it for FOREVER. Cate Blanchett and Giovioni Ribisi (sorry spelling?) are it in. It's by a German director, Tom Tykwer (who directed Run Lola Run). A really interesting story of love and justice. It comes HIGHLY recommended.
Old Boy 9.5/10: This movie was amazing! I have been hearing about it for a really long time and I finally saw it. It was insane and intense and graphic and really bad ass. I loved it SO MUCH.

The Incredible Hulk- 8/10 Saw it on friday night, and loved it. Ed Norton looks hot and does a great job with the character. I have never seen the other one they made a couple of years ago, nor have I read the comics, so I have no idea of how it compares to them. But I would definately pay to go and see this movie again.

Across the Universe 6/10: Honestly, the only parts I really liked were the music, the visuals, and Jim Sturgess. Not so much the plot. I was kinda sad that they only did my favorite Beatles song ("A Day in the Life") as an instrumental part too.

Hulk (2003) 5.5/10 Saw this on television recently. Yeah, it's pretty bad. I thought it started off okay (I tend to like moody, talky films), but it got a bit too much for me. It got a bit too cheesy. The many different shots opening up in one screen got a bit annoying, too. The special effects were horrible. The Hulk just didn't look real... he looked a bit too green and too smooth. And small, too! At least, the Hulk in the recent Hulk looked rough and blended into his elements. I thought Jennifer Connelly made a better Betty though; she seemed smart like a scientist should be. Liv Tyler, gorgeous as she is, seemed a tad bit too airhead-y to me. Kung Fu Panda 8/10 It was a lot of fun with good laughs and amazing animation. The characters looked really furry and cuddly, and I just wanted to reach out and hug them (especially Po and Shifu)! Great film for the whole family.

The Princess and the Warrior 7.3/10 I had high hopes for this film, also directed by Tom Tykwer (one of my favorite German directors), but it was a let down. I enjoyed it because I love Franka Potente but the action was a bit slow, it just wasn't one of Tykwer's better films. Heaven, which I saw just the other day by Tykwer is much better. My rating is probably generous too since I wanted to see this movie for so long and since I love the director. The story and plot are both great but I think it should have been sped up a bit for more drama and for more of a punch. I don't know, its a good movie, I liked it, but it isn't GREAT. Probably only recommendable to people who are freaks about German flicks like I am!

Anatomie aka: Anatomy 6.5/10 Another German flick, this was a totally random watch, it was free on TV. Its a bad German horror/thriller. I wouldn't call it scary, definitely comical at times, it was dubbed in English so it was SUPER cheesy but it was still entertaining. Would have been a lot better in German with English subtitles but thats okay. It had a couple good twists and was interesting enough for me to watch the entire thing. Entertaining in a sort of bad horror movie way but it is hardly a horror flick. Enjoyable all the same though!

This movie was hysterical, intense and the best action film I've seen in about a million years! It is sooooooooo surprisingly and insanely incredible and fresh and awesome and unbelievable!!! Wall-E 8/10 A cute movie that I really enjoyed. It's right up there with Finding Nemo, Monster's Inc., and Toy Story for me. Wall-E's a really lovable character with a human personality and Eve's pretty cool too. Even if 95% of the dialogue is "Wall-e!" and "Eve!" the movie's entertaining, cute, and has a pretty creative plot.

Wall-E 8/10 I'd give it an 8/10, too, quackattack. As usual, Pixar has done it again with its stunning animation. There wasn't much dialogue, but it still held my attention from beginning to end. Wall-E's absolutely adorable! Very good story with some tear-jerking moments.
Volver 8/10 Gorgeous, gorgeous movie. Such beautiful bold colors. I loved the story, and I wasn't expecting the little twist towards the end, which was great. I was never drawn to Penelope Cruz's performances before, but she was quite good in this movie. This is the first movie I've seen from Pedro Almodovar, but I have to say that he's quite an amazing director. I've heard that he's interested in adapting On Chesil Beach into a movie, and I wouldn't mind if he did. He has an amazing eye.
The Jane Austen Book Club 6.5/10 I've never read the book, so I don't know if this movie lives up to the book or anything. The cast gave pretty good performances in all, but the story was just too predictable, and everything just worked out too well. I also didn't like the whole high school teacher and student scenario. The only positive thing about the movie was that it made me interested enough to put Jane Austen's Persuasion on my must-read list.
Definitely, Maybe 6/10 I have to say that I loved the cinematography; it was quite beautifully shot for a romantic comedy. It had its funny moments and a great-looking cast, but other than that, everything else just fell flat for me. I wasn't really satisfied with the story.
