Okay so either:
A: This isn't true and everyone is wasting their time and someone is having a big laugh at as all
or
B: It is true and we really are adding to the rumors and helping to put personal info out there that Cillian doesn't want the world to know.
We my never know the answer. I don't know about all of you but I don't want to be laughed at and I sure as hell don't want to sling mud about Cillian. Maybe we should contact the admin. and see if nothing else she would at least come and delete this thread for us. If she is really a fan and still stands by the "no rumors" policy that this board used to have in place she should be willing to at least do that and then go back into hiding..... just a thought.

This forum would be fine without moderators if people would behave like the adults we mostly are and less like besotted teenagers. Contacting a stranger through her Facebook page to solicit information was overstepping the mark, publishing her responses only compounded the error. None of us will probably ever know if Natasha is telling the truth, and what difference does it make anyway? Cillian Murphy may be married, may be going out with someone who appears to have a mental age of 12, may shag chickens for all it matters. The OP practically invited tashak to come and take the piss; see how hard it is to put the genie back into the bottle? Starting a rumour, reviving it again when it seemed like a dead issue and then shrieking for a moderator when it all goes pear shaped is just bizarre behaviour.

I'll agree with sabine here-- at least I think I'm agreeing with sabine, unless I'm very much misunderstanding the slang--
1. Someone started a rumor and/or made a very WHOAH!!! claim.
2. Several of us invited the claimant to put her money where her mouth is.
3. So far, money and mouth remain separate and apart.
What's the problem here, exactly? Nothing illegal or defamatory or even all that weird is going on. (Goodness gracious, a stranger stepped in amongst the fan kids on a fan site and made a big ol' fangirl-wishful-thinking-claim TO BE DATING CILLIAN!!! Oh, my God, call the Pope! Call the Marines! The FBI! Is nothing SACRED?)
She's full of hooey, and we called her bluff. And if she's not full of hooey, then so what? She ought to know not to broadcast, and we still had a right to call her on it. No harm, no foul.

I'm taking a break from writing an article. Look I'll try to explain myself as simply as possible.
I am concerned that any talented actor is letting his career go down the drain for whatever reason. Cillian needs a wakeup call before his career cannot be salvaged. You're only as good as your last picture. There is a new crop of no less talented actors on cillian's heel. Time is running out. I'm glad you like his films but the critics don't. He has received praise for his acting but having your films go to DVD means he's making bad choices. He is not a mainstream actor but if he doesn't have a hit soon he will and I stress will be forgotten. and THAT would be a pity. If you want to daydream about Cillian Murphy by all means do but believe me the man, himself, does not resemble your fantasy and if you actually met him and had an intelligent conversation you would be very disappointed. People are getting too wrapped up in a fantasy of a man, yes he's just a man that pisses and sh*ts just like the rest of us and the outrage is spewed out to any person who damages your created image of one Cillian Murphy.

I'm sure that the guy is very far from being some kind of perfect god and has his flaws and faults like any human. I'm not claiming to know what the guy is like as a person in real life. It would be silly. I'm only familiar with his work as an actor - not with anything else to do with him and have no problem admitting to it. But then again, you seem to be having alot of trouble seeing the difference between a few fans who are just taking a harmless interest in his work - and just having a little fun with looking at some of his public pictures - and the types of behaviours that typically go with unhealthy obsessiveness. Is anyone here actually posting mesages saying that they want/expect him to leave his wife for them? Or saying they have contacted/are planning to contact him in any way to imply that to him? For one I've not come across a single post like that made by anyone in the whole of the time I've been here. Yet you're now suddenly accusing all of us of wanting to be an Yvonne replacement. To quote your own words back at you, why are you getting so upset/excited/angry or whatever? What harm do you think it's actually doing anyone, a few fans saying how much they like his work here on a fan forum and that they find him an attractive guy? I'm genuinely curious to know. Just one last thing I want to make clear too, just for the record. I am in a serious committed relationship with a guy. Have been for the last 10 years. I'm not interested in the least in trying to poach anybody elses husband/boyfriend/whatever off of them (whether it be a famous actor or not), partly for that reason and also partly because even if I were single - I would not want to get involved with anyone who was already married and who already had children. It's not a kind of situation I would ever want to get myself involved in. And even if I did, Cillian is hardly anyone I'm ever likely to meet in person or ever have anything to do with anyway. I admire him from afar it is true, but that is as far as it goes. Nothing more. And I'm more than happy to keep it that way. |

For someone who admits she has never met him you sure do pretend to know a lot about his real personality. You also seem to magically know how much he had to drink before the recent festival AND his radio interview. And apparently you think he is not capable of having an intelligent conversation. Pretty bold statements for someone who has never met the man. Fair enough that he might not live up to our fantasy standards in real life, I think most of us are intelligent enough to realize he is human and has flaws but you make it sound like you know him personally. You know no more then the rest of us and honestly it is insulting that you make him out to be a drunken idiot.
