ok. That does make more sense! Especially if you want to throw in the 'legal' aspects of what Alex is trying to do! You made a good point! Even the cops are controlled by Falcone, so I guess it Alex really had no choice but to get help from Rachel!  Alright Alright. Change = starting a new life! He needs a breath of fresh air! I'll give you that! Just don't get rid of his condescending cold-hearted split personality, ok!?  |

Here is chapter 26 for you! Slowly catching up ... I liked how you used Rachel's POV here ... you really seemed to use her character instead of making her into a puppet. She seemed more real to me here than in the movie! |

Jonathan knew, how he normally reacted on the people. He avoided physical contact as good as he could, he didn´t touched anybody and he didn´t want to be touched either. He never had shown a lot of his body as the other guys did, not in college, nor at university. He always kept his distance to his girlfriends, physicalwise as well as mentalwise. The sex had been always very short and without passion, being more a physical duty for Jonathan than real desire and most of the times, his „relationships“ had ended as far as they had begun. In Germany, Jonathan had sworn that he would never, ever love anybody again as much as he had loved Alexandra and he was willing to pay the price of loneliness – and he had payed it, year after year. I loved this paragraph. It's such an insight into his character. So your Crane has had girlfriends since Alexandra? Or rather "acquaintances with benefits"? I loved Scarecrow surfacing again here. *“So-so..“*, Scarecrow hissed and Jonathan could feel his strawy claw placing around his brain. * „So I never have loved you, right? Did I never want the best for you? Don´t you owe me everything you have, everything you are?“* This is quite Jekyll & Hyde-like. *„Maybe I am.“*, Jonathan said and he smiled while he squeezed the airbubble out of the syringe. *“But I´m also a doctor of psychiatry and now it´s time for you to go to sleep.“* Awesome! „Sweet dreams, you strawy arsehole!“, Jonathan shouted when he pulled the injection needle out of his leg again. LOL! „Tell me, Mrs. Nichols...“, Dr. Crane started, folded his hands on the desktop and gazed at his secretary. „Have you ever received a pay raise from me in the last 3 years?“ This part seemed like Scrooge and Bob Cratchit. edit: I guess others said that as well! |

I like how Jonathan is reflecting on his life with Alex and how his life is being changed by it - which I believe for the better - and his confrontation with Scarecrow. This time I feel his confrontation with Scarecrow is much more hostile - Scarecrow is trying to manipulate, be his pal and Jon is no longer buying. Ah, he uses a new weapon, medication. I'm glad he no longer has to threaten killing himself ... because what if Scarecrow called his bluff? Ack! As for the the secretary ending, it did seem a bit out of character for me as well. Maybe his change of character needs to be more slow?

Hey girls! Thank you to all of your for your posts. I hope I could clear up some confusion and misunderstanding with my post. In a way I have to agree with you: maybe the change of Jon´s character (the "secretary scene") was a but too fast, but again, it has more like a metaforical function. a peak like to say: "Oh, oops, what´s going on?"  what you said about strangers, blue-eyed, she´s not a complete stranger to him as she´s working for a time already, so Jon might react a bit different on her then on a 100% stranger .. but don´t worry, he won´t lose his character at all - we all know, how BB continues, so it can´t happen anyway Okay, again "Christmas Carol" . Again, I ´have to say I don´t know it (Azina and Ciaran cleared me up in the meantime what it is about, so it was coincidence, that my story has parallels to ACC. Yeah, Jonathan did have girlfriends before Alex but as you said, SRG, more "acquaintances with benefits". I wanted to express it with the paagraph you´ve mentioned SRG and I hope it worked out somehow.. Concerning the confrontation of Scarecrow and Jon: the Jeckyll and Hyde comparisom is a good one because it describes what schizophrenia really is - and we just have to keep it in mind that although BB is fiction, with the whole mistery and all, that simple medical speaking (OMG, med school has its influence on me now): Jon is sick and he need medication.. .. and even now physicalwise because as blue-eyed said before due the changes (Jon and Alex getting together, trying to clear up the things standing between them..) Scarecrow dimension changes, too: now it seems not to be enough that Jon has to think of Alex not to be attacked by him. Remeber, how scared she was, when Scarecrow tried to rape her? Maybe it´s kinda Scarecrow can emerge easily when Alex is somehow "distracted", having fear in a way.... and maybe she´s fearing in her subconcious about how everything will go on, with her, with Jon, with her deal with Rachel, if everything will work out as she has imagined.. ... and maybe Jon and Alex an still mental-connected and now Scareceow notices her "signals of fear" in a way... ..maybe its a combination of both: sensing Alex´fear and worries on one hand and trying to keep Jon under his control on the other hand.. Okay I still hope that you all like the story though and that we´ll have a lot of dicussions in the future because I really like this and it´s so interesting to discuss with you girls, to get all these differents thoughts and POV !! Wish me luck for my anatomy test on Tuesday because when I have passed it I have time to write again |

Haha thank you We use *pressing thumbs* in Germany more in a "positive way" so to say... *crossing fingers*, too but this is more in a negative way like to say : "Hopefully I´m getting out of this ASAP without anybody noticing that I´m pretending" (well, something like that ..) |
