wha wha WHA..... ? Sounds like this person at least knows who Cillian is, due to the fact that he was severely disgruntled at the brief appearance - sounds like it could very well be true! This news, though somewhat sketchy, just jazzed up my entire weekend; since I am a fan of the original Tron, I had already planned to see Tron: Legacy. The possibility of Cillian being in this movie is an unexpected and delicious bonus - wowza!!! I can only hope that this movie does well enough to warrant a sequel (normally I despise those, but in this case, if it would bring Cillian back into a more definitive role - by all means, pro-ceeeed...!) And... omfg.... Cillian in [glow=red,2,300]3D[/glow]

Are you sh*tting me? I was going to see this for Garrett Hedlund (yum) but Cillian being in it, even if it's for a minute, is extra incentive! That's freaking awesome!! ;D

I too was only going to see this for another actor (Olivia Wilde). Too cool man! Whomever sees it first, post all about it here for us! I don't mind a spoiler on this one.

Had to add: I think it is odd/funny that so few are actually going to see Tron for the storyline. Good job on the Directing and Casting doing their job to bring in the money. LOL! I actually downloaded the original arcade game to see what it was like. It was terrible.

Wow this is so funny. My husband and I have been wanting to see this movie since we heard about it and we actually wanted to see it for the story line. (Seeing that we are both children from the 80's and all a sequel to the original movie is great.) So yeah let see is Cillian is indeed part of this.

Had to add: I think it is odd/funny that so few are actually going to see Tron for the storyline. LOL- true, very true. But then again, the orginal film wasn't exactly Citizen Kane, either. I was 11 when it came out, and as a child I appreciated the alternate world aspect most. The summer of 1982 was a time when Atari was king, so the notion of being absorbed by a computer or gaming system was ultra-cool at the time. Neat-o!! I haven't seen Tron in a long time, but my fond memories of it are enough to compell me to see this revamped sequel. Some movies are popcorn entertainment, and it's fine by me if that's all this one is. LOL. It's only when my expectations are out of alignment with what a movie actually IS that I get disappointed. Love that Cillian is not shying away from these larger projects now - he's capable of doing it all, and doing it extremely well.

What's neat is that nearly everyone who posts here says they had planned to see Tron, so that means a ton of people will see Cillian in this. They'll be saying (most of them, anyway) "Hey, that's that guy from Inception!" which is good, because the casual fan will get a nice reminder of him until Now comes out. Getting his face out there as much as possible is awesome, and I'm glad that he's making a real effort at this now. It's really going to serve him well. ;D Plus we all get to look at him.

;D Plus we all get to look at him. [/quote] Easy sale with me! I would watch Gigli in Swahili and reverse if it had Cillian in it.

Wow, this is really unexpected and exciting news! Of course, I also had been planning to see this movie and hearing Cillian has a cameo is a nice little bonus!
I'll admit though, being younger, my first exposure to Tron was his appearance in Kingdom Hearts 2, and then I watched the movie, which I liked.

My art teacher in highschool was obsessed with Tron...made our class watch it:P He passed away many years ago ,so when I heard of Tron:Legacy I felt I had to see this for him. Now it's even better knowing Cillian has a small part. But why does he do this... these cameo scenes. He's such a tease. I love him!

This makes me really excited! I hope all the rumors are true and it's not just a lookalike!

disarm79 - I soooooo agree with you on the 'tease' factor!! Oh, I asked around, and apparently this news is pretty solid. Looks like it really is our man in this movie, and not a look alike. So, wow, he's sticking his toe in the water of what might end up being a series of very big movies! I have to say I'm pretty excited about this, because I've always been wanting him to do more villainous roles; that's where he really shines. But it's not just about that to me, it's about him getting that beautiful face OUT there more. Because the more he does that, the more doors will open for him, and that's how he will eventually get signed for that movie that nets him an Oscar down the road.
