I'm curious too! Would you be as kind to PM me?? =) I can't see anything at 1:21, I mean Cillian isn't in the scene in that moment... ¿?

anitnelav: Sent it to you. Maybe it was 1h 22min then? Right before the end, anyway... Spoilerish again... I didn't mean the one that's listed in IMDB's goofs-section. That one's clearly the director's fault. This one takes place right before it.

I think the one you're referring to it's also a director's mistake, I mean he should have told them to repeat the take!

^That's true. In the end directors and editors are always responsible for what ends up in theaters and blu-rays/dvds. Cillian is perfect. ;D

The DVD I won just arrived in the mail!!! I am watching it in a minute and I can't wait!!
Review later!
EDIT:
I have now watched it and darn I'm still crying. I did not expect it to end like that, at all!
I like how you don't know the story and you're trying to figure it out and in the end it turns out to be neither of the ideas you had in your head!
I like Cillian's character too, as much as I adore his more edgy and 'strange' characters I like to see him in such a human role, it made me get really into it and I felt really involved with everything.
as for the 1:21 thing I don't think I saw it, but I was crying during that scene so it may be why.
I'm really glad I got the chance to see this movie, actually even if Cillian wasn't in it I had loved the movie!
Oh and Cillian looks HOT! As much as I do prefer men not to have facial hair it looked great on him in this movie and the running scenes looked so good!

YAY !!!!! Finally the DVD arrived and I watched it ! ;D Now my personal (spoiler free !!) thoughts about the movie: What I felt very strong during watching was a certain uncomfortableness throughout the movie starting with really feeling the problems in Martin's and Kate's relationship and increasing with the presence, the impact, of Jack. Being caught with that strange guy in that house and not knowing what really have happened out there was uncomfortable and awkward to the max! Not knowing if he is some crazy, ill serial killer, not knowing if it is the best to follow his instructions or to run away from him... It was quiet a claustrophobic feeling. As already mentioned I found it very intriguing and capturing how Thandie and Cillian played that couple having to cope with these scars in their relationship. And you can literally feel that their relationship is really on the edge of breaking apart... But so sweet how Martin tries to cheer her up and tries to mend their wounds, but yet he's just human too and it's hard for him get through to her. For sometimes it seems he just doesn't know what else he could do! Poor guy... Btw: That part with the fishes was very funny and sweet "...les poisson... " LOL We know that Cillian can speak French. But to hear him in a movie speaking this language was fun to watch/listen. I won't talk about anything spoiling here. All that I can say is that it really got dramatic and moving in the end !! But to be honest, not THAT dramatic and scary that it shocked me to death. But maybe that's only because a) I stumbled over something spoilerish on the web (I really HATE that !!! Why can't people just leave it ??) or b) I wasn't always understanding what they were talking about. So I guess I have to wait for the German version to get all the story elements and stuff. But the acting: EXQUISITE !! And Martin was really such an adorable character! So real and human and ... yes lovable. I would like to have him as a boyfriend. OH and: He looks SO sexy when he's handling that shotgun !! OMG

Thanks Cougarlady! I've been dying to see this one. I nearly bought it from amzon.co.uk, but then I remembered that the DVD was unlikely to work on my player. Darn region codes. Oh well, at least February isn't too far away!

Believe me, I'd have seen it weeks ago on Amazon Instant Video if it were available to those outside of the US. But unfortunately, it isn't.

He looked gorgeous in this film, reminiscent of those ending scenes in 28 Days Later where his hair's grown out, it's at a colour that almost matches his stubble and his strong features look almost soft and delicate. He looks tiny with his runner's body and on a shallow, aesthetic level its so very endearing, the way that he jogs.
The film was a 'one time' thing for me. I enjoyed it once, doubt I'll need to watch it again. I, too, had been spoiled on the internet (damn Youtube comments) so, as much as I tried to ignore that spoiler, it kind of ruined the whole impact of the film. It's psychological. It's one of those films where you don't know what's right, what's wrong, what's good, what's bad. If I'd gone into this blind (again, thank you, spoiler) I think I would've enjoyed this a whole lot more. I don't understand why people need to do that, to ruin things simply because they can. I love the way Youtube didn't even bother to remove the comment as well and once you've read it you can't take it back.
I liked Cillian as Martin, soft spoken, a little bit frightened, a man who isn't very good at practical things, who tries hard but seems to fall short at every turn. Hapless and sweet. A man you want to take the pub and tell him "It's alright, you're not all macho men." He plays 'everyman' very well. There's a quietness to him. A normality, lets say, that belies his obvious physical beauty. I enjoyed that.
I think he'd have been wonderful in the role of the soldier, too, but I guess he'd played enough edgy, unpredictable characters that to play the soft, emasculated husband whose soft spoken demeanour is starkly contrasted with his wife's was something he felt he needed to do.
That said, I'm not a Thandie Newton fan, never will be. But, little Billy Elliott, he's turned into some actor, I have to hand it to him. Never expected that of a 'child star'.
