"The Hole" is one of my favurite movies, (Thora Birch is a great actress by the way) , and I think that Cillian would have been perfect for playing the role of Mike Steel. Also I think that he would have been a much better Hannibal Lecter for "Hannibal Rising". P.S. I really LOVE "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" ! Let's do the time warp again!!

My favorite movie of the moment is Before Sunrise (and Before Sunset). Such a refreshing and brilliant romantic comedy! Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy were amazing in their roles as Jesse and Celine. I think Cillian would be perfect as Jesse. The actor not only needs to be hot but also intelligent, talented, and articulate to be Jesse, and Cillian has all of those characteristics. I believe he has the talent to carry the extensive dialogue of the movie. I don't know of that many French actresses, but I think Marion Cotillard would be a good choice for Celine. I loved her in La Vie En Rose. Anyway, it would be awesome to see Cillian in a smart and engaging romantic movie like Before Sunrise. Oh, and I also think that Cillian would be great as Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich's character) in Scream. We all know that he could play "crazy/beautiful" well! Also, it would be great to see him play opposite Neve Campbell in a movie (I know he's played opposite her onstage in Love Song).

It's not a movie that's been made yet per se, but I would love to see Cillian play the role as Stuart Sutcliffe in a movie about the Beatles...I love Stu Sutcliffe so much, and he had that delicate artist persona that I think Cillian could do quite well.

Embarassing as it is, I think that one of my favorite films is still Titanic. I excuse myself with nostalgia because I fell in love my bf back when it came out. I don't think Cillian ever would consider a role like Jack, but it would be funny to watch him twist into something Cillian, and I'm sure he would make a fine match with Kate Winslet. I also adore Lost in Translation but I can imagine him playing Scarlet's part better than Bill Pullman's. I can't really see Cillian doing the scene on the crosstrainer ... Scarlets part as would also be interesting though ... perhaps it required a return of Kitten I would love to watch cillian in Dangerous Liaisons. Not exactly my favorite movie but he could do a fine job with the part as Vicomte Sébastien de Valmont originally played by John Malkovich. Cillian would have to be sexy, sarcastic, intelligent, decadent and a bit twisted too.

(Great minds think alike . ) I brought this up in this thread recently, too. It's not my favorite movie ever either, but I did enjoy it immensely. Cillian would've been perfect!

I would love to see Cillian in a troubled father/husband role -- something along the lines of Sam Rockwell's character in Snow Angels. He hasn't had any of those roles yet, right? I think the closest to this role is maybe in The Edge of Love (which I haven't seen yet). Anyway, the troubles that his character would face could be infidelity, alcoholism, drugs, fertility, child custody, anything. I would love to see how he would use his experience as a father and husband in real-life and apply it to the role.

Yeah that would be good. Cillian makes such a cute dad on or off screen! ;D

Geez, I must have a problem because almost every movie that I see, I can't help but picture Cillian in the main role. Anyway, I think he'd be great in Hugh's role in Notting Hill. Hugh was absolutely brilliant in it though (so charming, funny, and awkward), so he'd be hard to beat. Either Rachel McAdams or Anne Hathaway would be great in Julia's role. Heh, I think I'm just desperate to see Cillian in a good, quality romantic comedy (I'm such a sucker for them lately) and for him to act opposite Rachel in another movie. They made such a great on-screen team in Red Eye.

I'm a big lover of dramas, and the more dramatic the drama, the better! I would have loved to see Cillian as the Irish immigrant Amsterdam in Gangs of New York, opposite Daniel Day-Lewis. Leo DiCaprio did a great job but I think Cillian would have brought an authenticity to the role, being Irish, that DiCaprio lacked. Plus I think he has a higher level of intensity in him that would have counteracted the fact that Daniel Day-Lewis stole every scene he was in - I think Cillian could have gone coldly toe-to-toe with him in a way that would have balanced the film better.

Another one I'd like to see him playing is Mort Rainey , in "Secret Window". I've just watched it again the other day, I like it very much. I'm a very big fan of Johnny Depp too, but Cillian is Cillian. ;D

I'm so glad you mentioned this- because I watched Secret Window not long ago and repeatedly imagined Cillian in that role! And I happen to love Johnny Depp, so it's not as if I don't think he did a wonderful job. LOL. I would love to have seen CM as the wronged and disturbed writer/husband in this movie.

Actually, there are quite a few Johnny Depp's roles that I think fit Cillian, too ! Just to mention some, Ichabod Crane in "Sleepy Hollow" , Frederick Abberline in "From Hell" , the astronaut in "The Astronaut's Wife" ...

Yes! I have thought that as well- that many of Johnny Depp's roles would have worked very well with Cillian playing them.. must be because they are both Geminis. LOL. Ah yes... The Astronaut's Wife... there is one scene especially that I would very much have liked to see Cillian do...
