Can you believe that there are some people who have never seen Rocky Horror? Can you believe that....sadly....I am one of them? I've always wanted to see it, though, and I don't know why I haven't!!! What's wrong with me? ?? Thats ok, neither have I. Tell me about it: who'se in it, plot, etc... It's a movie from 1975 about (quoting from IMDb here): "What do a Transylvanian transvestite, a cryogenically-preserved motorbiker and a Frankenstein's monster wearing golden underpants all have in common? They're all crucial parts of Rocky Horror Picture Show, the comedy cult classic which is at once hysterical, indispensable and truly disturbing. Innocent young lovers Brad and Janet are stranded when their car breaks down, so they are forced to seek refuge in the castle of the bizarre Dr. Frankenfurter, who is having a gathering of some kind... What ensues is an unforgettable night of music and madness where, like a circus act, you never know what's going to come next. Adding to the madness is the narration of the soporific Professor, who, in omnipotence, recounts the whole story from the comfort of his genteel study. Of course, there are pre-designed spots for audience participation - from being doused with spray bottles to throwing popcorn at the screen to getting up from your seat and dancing along to the incomparable "Time Warp". By the end of the night, fantasies will be realities, men will be women and everything will be explained - or will it?!?!?" It stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, and Meatloaf (yes, Meatloaf). It has a great soundtrack and many places still show midnight showings where the audience comes to "participate" (Google Rocky Horror audience participation). All in all, I'd say it's a movie people either seem to love or hate. There doesn't seem to be an intermediate.

^ Sounds like a movie you experience. I guess if it is Cillian-worthy, I'll have to give it a go; although the description alone is nearly enough to send me running (in hysterics or fright? lol). It goes on my "list" for now.

I was feeling a bit nostalgic today, so I watched Ever After. It's been years since I've last seen it, but it still captures my heart. (Boy, am I cheesy as hell today. ) Drew Barrymore and Dougray Scott were perfect in the lead roles, but I couldn't help thinking that Cillian would be great as Prince Henry as well. Who wouldn't love to see Cillian in those tight medieval pants?

So, since I changed my avatar to an American Psycho themed one, I thought what it would be like to have Cillian as Patrick Bateman. Cillian could definitely do the whole serial killer thing, but physically, I can't see him as Bateman. I think Christian Bale was perfect for that role anyway.

Oh I want to see that movie! I was watching Psycho 2 today, it's actually a pretty good movie, and I always thought he could play a good Norman Bates type character.

My favorite movie (excluding all cillian flicks of course) is Snatch. He would have to play Micky (brad pitt) the bare knuckle boxer who is a gypsy. That would be good.

Ah yeah, I'll always be able to picture hi as Edward and I also think he could have played a good Jasper, but then again he would look a little bit old.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, but it has been mentioned over at the Top 5 at CillianSite. Anyway, I think Cillian would be perfect as the evil Valmont in Dangerous Liaisons. John Malkovich pretty much nailed the role, but I couldn't help thinking how great Cillian would be. Cillian's gorgeous, as we all know already, so what woman would be able to resist him? He's also quite brilliant when it comes to subtle facial expressions, and he switches personas at a drop of a hat. He can look quite innocent and earnest (which he needs to be in order to woo Madame de Tourvel), and he can also look quite evil and conniving (which he needs to be when he's plotting with Madame Merteuil). I don't think this movie is due for a remake anytime soon, considering that it's already had 2 versions already (Valmont from 1989 and Cruel Intentions). I wouldn't mind seeing a remake though -- especially if it has Cillian as Valmont. Rachel McAdams would be great as Madame de Tourvel, and it would be interesting to see Michelle Pfeiffer as Madame Merteuil. Natalie Portman or Olivia Thirlby would be good as Cecile, and maybe Michael Pitt as Danceny? I've also been in a romantic comedy phase lately, so I've been thinking that Cillian would be absolutely wonderful in a romantic comedy!! Especially the sweet, fluffy, funny, heartfelt old school romantic comedies like When Harry Met Sally..., You've Got Mail, and While You Were Sleeping. I can definitely see him in When Harry Met Sally... in Billy Crystal's role as Harry. He'd definitely make a cuter Harry, but I think he can carry Billy Crystal's cynical humor well. Although I loved Meg Ryan as Sally, any of these other actresses could play the part well -- Rachel McAdams, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Emily Blunt, Amy Adams, and Anne Hathaway -- but I especially love Rachel! Gosh, to see Cillian in a romantic comedy like the ones from back in the days would be great! He wouldn't win any Oscars for the role, but he'd definitely make any fangirl's heart melt.

Oooh this is a great thread, I don't agree about replacing Jake in Donnie Darko though. That's one of my fave movies... NO REPLACEMENT!!! Not even Cillian.
haha, someone mentioned Rocky Horror show, I think they should do a newer version of that one and Cillian would rock the part!

blackmamba, there is no character darker than Death and there is no actor who can play dark as gracefully as our Cillian. Have you seen the movie? tinydancer, the party in the end was heartbreaking... especially when he had to reveal to Susan who he actually is. Good grief, IF ONLY Cillian played that part. Brad is okay but he's not exactly my cup of joe (no pun intended). Dark, romantic, witty, philosophical and tragic. Darnit, Cillian shoulda had that! Great!! I just saw that movie and Cillian would be great in it!
