I know this is really stupid...and kinda pointless..but I think one of my relatives bought props for Disco Pigs See....My great great grandparents have a really uncommon Irish last name, and its safe to say anyone with that name is related by blood or marriage. So I figured I would type it in in IMDB and see if any of my relatives were in any movies or anything... And I saw a last name similar to my GG grandparents (there are a lot of different spelling for it) and the props dude for Disco Pigs has a very similar last name to my GG grandparents....and I'm probably related to him... ANYWAY I thought that was pretty interesting...and figured I'd mention it. But yeah...you guys pretty much hit the dot on with what I thought about Disco Pigs...Cheers....theres no real point of me going on...since you basically said what I was thinking...

Coolness. What were the props? Any chance of marriage into the Murphy family?

I'm not quite sure whay he bought..maybe a chair Cillian was sitting on...or the thing he beat Marky with Oh I've been wondering that as well.....if Murphy wasn't such a d*** common last name in Ireland it would be easier...if I ever meet him I don't think I'll be like 'Hey do you have anyone with the last name ______ in your family?' So I don't think I'll ever know....unless I find out his parents names.. On of the children of my other great great grandparents on that side (did that make sense to you>) did marry a John Murphy...

Spoiler required. How does Runt kill Pig? Please, somebody tell me, maybe I'll never watch the movie. It was never distributed in this side of the world (or at least in my country).

She suffocates him, by putting a blue jacket, I think over his face and pressing down... And before hand she had said that blue was the colour of love, so it was like she was killing him with love..

I find Cillian, to be singularly one of the most intense and profound actors I have ever witnessed. He is able to play, both diabolical and evil roles, and the role of the hero. He eminates intensity because of the way he moves and of course his eyes. The dialogue and environment plays a huge role in how his character is perceived. For example, in Disco Pigs, he has the capability to look innocent and carefree, (when he is holding hands through the apartments with Cassidy) and then when the mood and dialogue change, he takes on a totally different persona. In theory, this is what every actor strives for, but somehow, Murphy pulls it together more effectively, whether it's the eyes, or just movement. Such diversity is hard to find in an actor, and might attribute to his growing popularity as an actor. For those of you that have not yet seen Disco Pigs... www.discopigs.com offers four clips of the movie and a 9 minute making of the film, and also a gallery of photos. Good Luck and happy watching!

I just think this is so amazing... as already stated.
That you can take this roughly 90 minute movie and have such an indepth conversation about it. There aren't too many movies that are like that these days. It's kinda of sad, in a way. It makes you realize Disco Pigs is truly '90 minutes you will never forget'.

I just find it a pity that it didn't get more exposure in the States. I just sat through a series of movie trailers (many of which are crap) and then a gem like "Disco Pigs" is relatively unknown and unwatched. If Cillian wasn't in it, I'd probably never would have watched it. What can I say, Cillian is an amazing actor who chooses excellent films to be a part of.

I'm glad he didn't become a lawyer. I definitely believe acting is his calling.

I think ... like a lot of new Cillian fans here ... I was so impressed by his chilling portrayal of Dr. Crane/Scarecrow in "Batman" and wanted to know more about him. And then the next film I saw him in was "Disco Pigs," which is such a different character. Whereas Crane doesn't show his emotion, Pig's emotion is raw and open for all to see. First time I saw "Disco Pigs" I cried. I was so impressed by how raw and intense Cillian's portayal was, especially in the "meltdown" scene in the men's bathroom.

From what I've seen of Disco Pigs, he was amazing in that movie. I don't mean to be repetitive with my wording. But, that's really the only word I can think of. I just can't wait to watch the whole thing, because my DVD is coming in the mail soon. And... my birthday is July 30th. So, I'm getting a Portable DVD player and I can watch it whereever, whenever.

Fantastic ... look forward to discussing it with you once you've seen all of it. I pretty much know a majority of the movie and what happens. But, I just had to order it to have it in my DVD collection. It was funny because when I was watching clips from the Disco Pigs website, I started quizzing my friends. I was challenging them to watch particular clips on the site and then I would make them tell me what it was that Cillian or Elaine said in the movie. Me, being majorly Irish, I had no problem making out what they were saying. But, it was so hillarious getting responses that were WAY off from the actual wording. You should try it sometime when you and your friends are bored.
