I'd love to become a vegetarian, since I'm a Cillian's fan I'm obsessed with being veggie. I tried this veggie thing for a week and I love it, but yesterday I passed out because of a lack of red globules , I know.. that's quiet creepy right? ahaha. Anyway my dad got scared and now he said I can't continue with my vegetarian habits

Hey STEFI! That's wierd! I gather you mean that your fainting fit was blamed on low red bloodcell counts (anaemia) was this properly diagnosed? Are you sure it is your change of diet to blame? Any fainting fits should be checked over with a doctor really. Veggie diet can incorporate more than enough of the nutrients needed to maintain health. For istance, iron and b vits can be found in wholemeal bread, cereals, eggs and green leafy veggies plus parsley is loaded with iron. ;D Take a muti-vitamin for a back up if you want. I take L-carnosine, MSM and nicotinamide too but that's more to do with endurance and cell longetivity as I am slowly recovering from M.E. It is possible to be veggie and healthy (healthier in my opinion!) Look after yourself! xxx

thanks for the advice , you're lovely ahahahah . This forum makes me wanna watch Cillian's movies all day. It also makes me sad 'cause here we don't have every single movie he made. For example, I'm able to see Watching The Detectives at YouTube, I can rent Red Eye and that's how it works. Some in YouTube , some I can rent ahahaha But YouTube doesn't have Disco Pigs and others

I think he's a pescatarian because his reasons for being vegetarian aren't to do with morals, but reservations about the meat industry.

Very much feeling amongst the minority here (lol!). But though I'm another here who thinks in theory going vegetarian is a good idea - doubt I'd ever have the willpower to do it. However, I definitely think I could easily go semi vegetarian if I really put my mind to it. As it is I'm considering it, as without a doubt think it'd be alot healthier. As though try to remember to include plenty of fruit and vegetables in my diet - do neglect this at times. But if I got into the habit, think I'd be fine with eating more of those things than meat. I also feel I could easily learn to live with meat substitutes - such as Quorn - for at least the majority of the time. Though get the idea it's generally more expensive that normal meat. Seems to me anything that's supposed to be extra healthy for you is all too often more expensive than the less healthy choice. I've noticed it's the same too with stuff like gluten free bread and pasta - at least where I am!

You should definitely try vegetarism, that's kinda hard at the beginning, especially if you're used to eat meat, but if you go slowly, and stop eating meat little by little, you'll be able to become a vegetarian. You just have to be careful and eat other things to replace meat.

I definitely think I could go a long way toward it, if I started eating meat substitutes more often. I've already tried Quorn a few times - and can barely tell the difference. And I think in general would be quite happy to stick to dairy, fruit and vegetable foods. One thing I've never been 100% sure about though, is if being a full blown vegetarian means cutting fish out. Not sure if I'd want to do it, as although I know there's plenty of fish oil pills on the market in general don't really agree with using them as long term substitutes.

Yes, that's what I was wondering ! Do vegetarian eat fish or not. But I think it depends on what kind of vegetarian you are. If you don't want to eat dead animals, then you're an ovolacto and you don't eat animals but you eat their products, like eggs or milk, and a pescatarian eats seafood, but excludes other animals. As razzthekid said, Cillian is probably a pescatarian, but that's actually hard to tell because if he wants to denounce the unhealthy agribusiness practices, then he shouldn't be eatin fish, eggs or milk, because those products often come from agribusiness too. It would be too hard for me anyway xD

I think maybe Cillian is a pescatarian. Didnt that Flaunt magazine interview say that he was? Maybe I'm wrong. I also remember a few months back when he was saying in an interview some of the things he liked about LA, he mention sushi. Now that could be the veggy rolls . Who knows
Where I live its much easier to find organic eggs and milk than it is meat. Meat is just a scarier issue, even when it's natural/organic. I'm not a vegetarian, but im not a big meat eater. I might eat meat 2x a week at the most. Sometimes i dont even like touching raw meat . So I'm probably not the greatest cook when it comes to my boyfriends opinion who grew up on meat n potatoes
