Yeah i think we've all agreed on Pisces and Rukia as mods. I'm just not sure if Emma has sent an e-mail, i think she was hoping Rukia or Pisces would be able to do it as she hasn't been on here long and doesn't know Shannon at all. Hopefully one of them will see this by tomorrow because that whole new bunch of bullsh*t posts is pushing me over the edge. There are so many things i'd love to reply with but i'm holding my tongue cos it's not worth it.   And you don't sound bossy btw, we're all in the same postition as you - annoyed and frustrated.  |

I personally don't know Shannon either.  I think when I first joined this forum, she popped in for like one hot minute, and then she disappeared on us. We've been without a moderator since I first joined. Do you guys prefer me to email her still? |

If you don't mind Rukia that'd be great.  I doesn't seem like anyone really knows Shannon around here anymore but at least you are a long standing member who was around last time she posted. The sooner this can all be over the better. I just really hope Shannon goes for it. Thanks for saying you didn't think I was being bossy Razz. And yes, I think we can all think of some choice words as well.... *sigh* |

As I mentioned earlier in here guys, I would have been happy to send the email. But thought rather than just assume it was ok for me to, I should check with everyone else first. Also, as with Larva, I did think maybe if someone who knew Shannon better than I did was the one to email her, their word might hold more weight too - though if anyone had still been happy for me to contact Shannon anyway I would have. As Rukia's now volunteered though (many thanks for that Rukia, much appreciated!) have passed Shannon's email address onto her. I'm not online much this morning and unfortunatley can't be for the next few days either, so bearing that in mind thought that'd be best. Hope that helps! |

Now that it's clear who's supposed to email Shannon, I don't mind doing it. Just tell it straight next time what you guys want. I'm a bit busy at this time though because I'm going out of town this weekend, so I don't think I'll get to emailing her right away. Hopefully, you guys can wait until next week or so.

I am sorry I thought I had outright asked either you or Pisces to do it in my post earlier but I guess I kind of danced around it a bit myself. I guess I didn't want to put you guys on the spot and make you feel like you had to do it but you are right we should have just outright asked. It would have saved time and would have been more polite. I'm sorry. If you are too busy I would be willing to send the email too. I am at home on vacation so I have time on my hands.

Going by how you asked in that previous message of yours if anyone would prefer you to send the email instead - it seemed logical enough to me - at the time - to assume that was the reason why you made a point of mentioning that. But obviously I got the wrong idea and you didn't say it for the reason I thought you did - my error! However on your part I think you've also misunderstood me a little. I was not hinting at anything. As I mentioned already, more than once in here, the reason I put sending the email on hold was because I felt it best to see how everyone else felt about it first, and was waiting for everyone elses input. Admittedly, like Larva, I did think a long standing member who knew Shannon better than I would likely be a better choice of person - ideally. But at the same time I wasn't saying - or trying to imply - that I wouldn't still be willing to send the email if it happened that everyone else was fine with me doing so. I don't know if it's the way I phrased my previous messages that's caused the confusion (if so my apologies again), or if it's because of some other reason. But I will point out that I never had any set black and white ideas as to who should or who shouldn't email Shannon (if anything I said gave anyone here that impression then I'm sorry that's how it came across), nor expected anyone in here (including yourself) to send the email instead of me if that's something you or they weren't personally happy to offer to do. That's why I didn't do any outright asking. I had no reason to, as was happy to leave the choice as to who did the sending open to everyone till we'd all reached some kind of general agreement. Personally I really don't mind who sends the email - whether it be me or any other member. I'm happy if someone else (anyone else on here at all) wants to do it instead of me - for the types of reasons I mentioned earlier in here in this thread. I'm also happy if that's not the case and everyone else would prefer for me to send it instead. Anyways I hope that explanation's cleared things up and that there's no hard feelings. If, after reading through everything I mentioned above, you still want to/would be happy to send the email in a few days, as you mentioned in that last post of yours, then again many thanks for that and that's much appreciated. However, I will add that though right now I'm away from home (as also have a fair bit happening myself over the next couple days) I'm back on the 3rd of Jan (this coming Sunday). Ok guys. As it's now the 3rd of January, and so far Rukia's not posted anything further in here, I decided to go ahead and message Shannon this morning as unexpectedly got a free moment.
I included all the names (that I could think of) of all the currently active members who are taking an interest on this issue, and made it clear that though ideally we would all prefer an active administrator to be keeping an eye on this place - we're happy to go with the idea of a couple of active mods instead if she would prefer/be willing to consider that instead. I included links to both the petition threads, and also offered to include links to the spam posts if she wanted me to. I haven't yet mentioned specific names on who we would all like to be moderators, as felt it would be better to wait until she's indicated how she feels about the idea first. If I get a positive response however, then I'm happy to suggest Rukia and Pisces to her if that's what everyone else (including Rukia and Pisces of course) would like me to do.
Anyways, if I get a response (which hopefully will happen and in the not too distant future) I'll be sure to update you all.

No need to apologise for not logging in before Rukia I remembered you mentioned you were short on time this weekend so guessed that had to to be the reason - which is totally fair enough. When mentioning it, that was just part of my way of confirming that at this stage I thought I might as well save you the trouble of sending the message as I had the free time to do it today and you didn't. Bearing that in mind it didn't seem fair to me to leave the task to you, when I had no reason to put it off any longer. I'm glad it helped, many thanks for the Cilly bar that's much appreciated! And no worries for the misunderstanding. It's one of those things that unavoidably happens from time to time and the internet's certainly no exception! I was so excited when I logged in and saw the post from Shannon! Thanks so much Emma for sending the email to her! Have a CB from me too! I am so glad Shannon has decided to help! I would hate this to become a skeleton of a forum because of all the spamming. I am so happy to know the board will now live on and we no longer have to think about moving or worry about just making do with things the way they are! No problem Ruika you had every right to react the way you did. I would probably be annoyed too if those vague posts had been directed towards me. lol Again I apologize for my part of the vagueness. Glad there are no hard feelings on anyone's part so we can just put it behind us. |

I'll take this opportunity to say I'm sorry that those who found my earlier posts to be vague found them so. It was never my intention for them to be. As a rule of thumb - when it comes to forum posting - I almost always proof read my posts at least a couple of times before submitting them - to ensure that what I type is as easy to read/clear to understand as possible - and did do that in here. Will do my best to ensure that it doesn't happen again anyways - and again am sorry for any irritation/confusion that arose. I would probably be annoyed too if those vague posts had been directed towards me. lol Again I apologize for my part of the vagueness. I have to say, after making a point of looking back again through those earlier posts of mine to pinpoint what the exact problem was (so I don't repeat the mistake) I'm having alot of difficulty seeing what was specifically so vague about my previous posts (though it did strike me that maybe I rambled on for longer than necessary in a couple of them which possibly made them harder to follow than they had to be). I'd be very grateful if you could elaborate on what you said there - if you wouldn't mind? It would be extremely helpful from my point of view, as that way I can avoid doing the same thing again in future posts. Anyways, no probs Larva and Kim for sending the email and thanks for the CB Larva! Also seconding what you said on being happy the recent problems on this board are now being sorted. I'm very pleased/glad about it too! ;D |
